    I love my meso pods!!
They do project quite a bit of light. I wasnt expecting them to be as good as they are tbh. Yes they're a total pain in the ass to do. Well, not too bad actually, just time consuming. Trick is to use a fish tape. And some dish soap (makes wires slide in super easy thru the boot).

I like the idea, being in the desert for one, of unlocking with fob and having the area lit up in case there's a rattlesnake or other critters nearby. And two, they do help with offroading by illuminating the whole sides up a pretty fair amount. More than i expected. These suckers are bright.
    Worth it imo

Thanks for the comments. When I first purchased my poverty package SR I went on a night kayaking trip. I learned real quick that I needed some lights in the bed.

Since then I have had several instances (even in poorly lit parking lots) where I had a hard time seeing the passenger side in the mirrors. I feel like I would wind up using these on a regular basis especially in my long dark driveway at night.

If I do wind up pulling the trigger I feel like these will wind up getting utilized similar to the bed lights... Where I can't live without them.

I can also see where there might be situations where the light is just way too much and becomes annoying and possiblely even a hindrance.

I'm gonna hope there are around at Christmas and have my wife get me the kit with the switch... I'll probably wind up installing them in the spring

Finally got around to installing my extended rear brake lines that have been collecting dust on my basement shelf, went in without a hitch. Video is on Team Oil Drop's YT channel if anyone's interested in a step by step. Obligatory off-road photo for the photo tax as well.

I was eyeing a shock relocation earlier in the week, but I'm thinking I'll go with leaf hangers first, not like I'm frequently fully flexed out anyways lol.

I can be as frugal as anyone. That said when you start adding lights and such it's well worth the money to install something like an Auxbeam switch panel. The reason being, for me at least, the relays are built in. I found that hooking wires up to the battery with a relay on the end of them got to be very cluttered.

Nice can't wait to see it.
Once I (eventually) get my roof rack up ill be adding tons more lights all around.
Same! That's the way i did everything on my 1st gen. Wires and relays everywhere. Lol. The relays are prone to water intrusion and quickly become corroded and fail as well.. went into it with my 3rd gen with an auxbeam panel and love it. Its also tied into my huge touch screen head unit via Bluetooth with their app too and that's awesome. Although, it is kinda limited on the ways you can hook things up (like using your high beam wires as a signal wire to turn some lights on, which there may be a way to do it with the auxbeam but idk how). Im planning on getting the diode Dswitch to replace it for all the extra functionality and signal wires.

I watched that as I'm subbed to that channel and was like, "Hey! That's K9's truck!" Ha. I'll need to take a closer look at things once I finalize my build and see if I should upgrade those myself. I may do it regardless just for peace of mind and added strength to the lines.

IMG_6662.jpgCurious if anyone has an idea where I could obtain aftermarket replacements for these plastic silver “window control bezels”? If that’s what they’re called. I’ve looked in a few of the usual aftermarket Tacoma places and have yet to see this product.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I hate bleeding brakes. What I did was took the bolt out of the lower bracket and bought a longer one. Then I took a piece of tubing and cut a spacer. There is enough hard line to (gently) bend the bracket up enough to get the spacer under it and put the new, longer bolt in. I think my spacer is about an inch.

More brush hauling. Today's trimming had me taking out 5 skinny 20' trees alongside my driveway boarder. I'll have much more to trim before the leaves start to fall.

Or just paint the ones you've got if those scratches are your concern.

Be subtle about it ... print off 50 copies of what you want, tape then up all around the house. :anonymous:

I've done basically nothing with my Taco this month. Been way to phucking hot with the heatwave we've been having. I'm sure my Taco will thank me later.

Ditto, it’s a sauna here in Arkansas. Upper 90’s to 100 degree days with 50 to 75% humidity often. Did change my oil but will rotate tires another day. Screw it, it’s too dang hot.
