Great job on the trans cooler installation. Question, is there any way you can check if it's going to work properly? It looks like the cooler is blocked by the bumper and I'm not sure if it's getting enough air flow.

Take a look at the actual cooler he used from Amazon. It has two fans the will pull air thru the radiator. It’s wired so that it can be turned on manually vs with a thermostat, or at least that’s how the linked video has it setup.

There isn't enough airflow but the fans should take care of that, I'll be towing 4k miles next week so I can report back on how it did when I return.

Picked it up on Friday, got back home yesterday. Pretty hyped I am. Keep in mind, bought sight unseen, never drove one, never seen the color or got in a 4th gen until 2 weeks ago. Not like me for sure but damn, I like it.

Cool story. Congrats. It was driving one that won me over from my previous 3rd gen.

Really trying to find a bronze oxide TRD off road DCSB without the tailgate badge inserts, seems like toyota puts them on every build

Good Luck! I didn't want them either but in the end, I just gave in and got the truck I wanted with the extra crap that Toyota likes to shove down your gullet.

Tailgate insert is like $100. Not a big deal. If you don’t like it. You can easily remove them. It’s a non issue.

Yeah definitely seems to be the case from what i've seen all over the country. I don't get it. Why stamp the tailgate if you're going to put a black badge over it anyways, to each their own but i just don't care for them. Of course you can remove them but then you risk marring the crap out of the paint etc. Oh well, thankfully I'm in no rush but of course if i never find one then I may have to cave.

I know it's $100, it's just annoying because I don't want to have to remove them, if they're on there I'm not taking them off. I debadged my current truck and even if you're careful its very easy to mar the paint or scratch etc, and even more so because they're in a recessed area, if it were flat like a normal badge it would be easier, but I would cringe if i made the concession on that and then removed them and damaged the paint. If I'm spending that much money on a vehicle I'd prefer to have it the exact way I want without having to change anything. Just my personal preference and Type A personality, but I'm not in need of a new truck at all, this is a want for me, so I will try and find the one I want.

Usually new cars you can easily remove decal or emblems very easy with dental floss and some patience. It’s a $99 option. Really? I pay that much for dinner easily all the time.

I'm not fretting over the cost dude. I understand how badge removal works. I used to be an auto detailer when I was younger and did it all the time. I'd prefer to not have to do it to my brand new truck if I could avoid it. Not sure why my preference seems to bother you lol, it is just that; a preference. I understand it can be easy to do. I would just like to avoid having to do so if I can find one without them.

It takes max 20 min to remove. No marring of the paint. I’ve removed emblems and debadged all my cars as well. I just don’t see the complaint being justified. I guess it’s just a personality thing then.

I was able to find a Bronze oxide hybrid with premium and with very minimal dealer optioned accessories. Just Tailgate insert and bedliner spray which I wanted. And to top it off $5k under MSRP although I had to travel 2 hours out of state.

Most trucks are going to have the most useless crap installed like the smartphone cables, illuminated Toyota badge emblem, predator steps etc.

    Good luck

Has anybody threw on or received their truck with the Gunmetal badge overlays? My Bronze Oxide TRD OR came with the gunmetal tailgate inserts and curious how the color looks on the badges.
