So I was replacing my front brakes today, and noticed that my front drivers side shock is cracked. So I’m looking to upgrade the suspension, who has the best deal on billsteins? Or what else would you guys recommend, I’m broke at the moment.

Is that a plastic dust cover? If so, it’s nothing to worry about. If the shock tube was cracked, there would be an oily mess everywhere.

I’m getting a loud clunk sound from the front end when going over bumps… also at 100k miles

Blown shocks (no oil left) don’t make noises. They just stop damping your suspension’s oscillations. This is assuming they are others intact mechanically.

I’ve read in another post about were the strut bolts one the bottom were loose or something like that and it would make that clunking sound.

Take that toast and spread some Irish butter on it, let it melt into the toast really good then spread some raw almond butter over the top of that and drizzle some honey on it. You're welcome!

My driver side plastic dust cover is also cracked exactly like that, but mine isn’t making a noise when going over bumps.

I recommend @HeadStrong Off-Road - but also talk with Marie there about them to see if perhaps you need an upgrade, 5100’s are durable (mine are still going after 80k miles) but perhaps you are driving them too hard and need a more durable model. At least PM or call them for free advice and a Tacomaworld discount!
