That’s what makes watches cool, the backstory to pieces, the personality.

your speedy looks like mine with a different face color. Two sub dials instead of three and the date window at 6. Does the sub dial at the 3 o'clock have two hands? when I was shopping I looked at a lot of them and liked this certain configuration.

Yes, the subdial for the chronograph is hours and minutes. I believe this is the standard configuration for the Speedmaster Racing watches with the 9900 & 9920 movements

Edit to add the 9300 movements are also a 2 dial chronograph, however I don't believe the 9300 has METAS certification.

@Bannerman, am i wrong thinking the Peligos and Submariner look similar? Is Rolex allowing Tudor to pilfer their designs?

Just for fun I checked the accuracy of the three watches I wear the most.
Omega Speedmaster Racing, checked with chronograph running and not running:

Lots of dive watches look like the Sub. Lots of watches look like the Rolex GMT. And Tudors especially as the reason the brand was created was to lower the barrier of entry to the Rolex "family". But watches to me are greater than the sum of their parts, so even watches that look the same from 10 feet away are very different on the wrist. I always hated the mismatched hands on the Black Bays but I tried very hard to make the Pelagos 39 work for me. Clean dive look, crown guards, hour markers match the hands, etc. But the coin edge bezel, titanium, and the clasp were all deal breakers to me.

These reasons are precisely why i got the peli over the sub, myself. Mind, Im not familiar with the differences between the 39mm Peligos vs the 42mm (mine). The 42mm is the smallest watch I wear. Anything less feels a bit small for me.

I think I've said this in this thread before, but that's what make watches fun. What might be a negative to you may be a positive to me. And let's be honest, anything more than a $10 Casio is jewelry anyway!

I use the same app and have found lots of surprises. Grand Seiko and less than a year old Speedmaster are my most accurate ones. Have a 25 year old Seiko 5 that's hilariously slow. The 40 year old Datejust was within spec before it's first ever service. Dad has an even older Tudor that's beat to hell that's also under +- 10 seconds a day.

Awesome! My Omegas are my most consistently accurate. My Tudor gets close to -20 seconds when it is low on reserve. Once i wind it a bit, it gets back to normal. I kinda blindly picked this app. It seemed to have the least adds for a free app, and decent reviews.
