I do my first change at 1000 miles, then 5000, 10000, etc. I use mobile 1 when I change the oil and haven't had any oil related problems in over 40 years of driving. Going with the owners manual is fine, but one extra oil change wont hurt anything and if there was debris left in the engine, getting it out at 1000 miles is a plus.

Well, this 2nd gen owner is happy for them, and I hope they find the right forum to discuss their new Tacoma in.

My last four vehicles were bought new: 2006 Tacoma, 2012 RAV4, 2014 Tacoma, 2024 CX5.

All had first oil change at 2500/3000 miles. Then, every 5000 miles. I sleep well at night.

It's my fault...I clicked a recent thread that read
Should I change my oil at 500 miles

And Thursday night is nearly fair game for Friday threads...

But this has got to be the greatest rick roll troll...
