    Are you going to the one on the South Hill or the one on division?

    I'd love to know what Goose Gear's cost revenue ratio is. I was referencing some sites to see where people were commonly anchoring rear cargo floors...theirs is $845...for some 1/2" birch ply coated in truck bed liner with some t-nuts in it. Fuck me. (I get it, you're paying for convenience and R&D etc etc blah blah, but that's still wild markup.)

    Yeah that's a hard pass for me on their stuff. I have a fully drawn setup for and 80 series cruiser that I just need somebody to CNC for me.

    I suppose if you have zero mechanical ability or desire and a big ass bank account but I still have trouble seeing how someone could justify it. Good on em I guess.

    Yeah that's the south hill location. The other one is pretty close to my house so I was going to say come on by. Still welcome to but you'd have to cross town.

    Metal would be a little too heavy but I appreciate the offer. I need somebody with a big wood 2D mill

    @TACOTU3

    This is why you'll love your fixture table

    20250818_174016.jpg

    The overall width is set to 24", so I'll need to cut down the centers to 21"

    The long legs need to get cut down to 30" and once that's done, everything gets welded up

    I’m so excited man, it’s gonna make life so much easier! I have the “fixture” cart and aside from it being way too small for my needs,
    the base is rickety and the top is thin, which has caused a pretty big wave in it… it’s handy to clamp stuff to it once it’s together, but I don’t trust actually building on it… When I need stuff flat I’ve been working on the floor!

    First project on it is going to be a pedestrian gate I’ve been promising for way too long. I’ve got a few ideas floating around in my head, but here’s a piece I’m maybe thinking about working in the style of. The table is going to be a game changer on it!

    I’ve got a 5” bench top band saw and a 14” dry/chop saw. The band saw is nice, but I don’t know if I have the patience for it LOL!

    I had the big harbor freight bandsaw for about four days to… Took up way too much real estate so I sold it

    Is it an abrasive chop saw? That’s what I got too and I hate it lol. Works well enoigh though. Next time I have a project I’ll probably look into a proper horizontal bandsaw, if you got the space could be worth it for you too!
