Has anybody tried using bosch injectors from motor west performance for $199.00 or the light blue ones from motorman for $139.00 which i believe came from 01 camry 2.2 liter!! Will there be any difference between original 2 hole and upgrade 12 hole injector? As far as i can tell these injector upgrades dont have exact fuel flow rate as original injectors , thats a problem!! Any advice would be much appreciated!!

I got the Desno replacement from motor west that replaced the original 97 injectors and they work great and I’m running a supercharger

Another vote for the Denso injectors from MotorWest Performance. My '97 3.4L V6 Taco Xcab 4X4 still had the original factory Denso injectors, so I could have just had them rebuilt by MotorWest for less money. But with several respected users on this board giving rave reviews on the upgraded Denso injectors from MotorWest, I also took the plunge. My normally aspirated 3.4L V6 manual is running very strong with them at our Sea Level altitude, and gets 20 MPH running down the highway loaded down with my hunting/shooting gear at 75 MPH. But I do regret not plumbing a fuel pressure port or gauge onto the fuel rail while I had it torn down.

Just out of curiosity, how would you go about plumbing in a fuel pressure gauge...is there some sort of kit that puts in a schrader valve or something or you talking about some sort of drilling and tapping of sorts?

Good question. I could not find a specific kit available to do it. And yes, a threaded hollow banjo bolt off the front driver's side fuel rail with an elbow and a Schrader valve or a pressure gauge is what I was considering when looking for the necessary parts (see below thread). But the problem is the very limited space there on the 3.4L, so am not sure it could be worked out that way.

    EDIT: Parts needed
Banjo bolt (M12x1.25) pressure gauge adapter | Tacoma World

I would use an FI rated Schrader valve like this one:
Replacement Schrader Valve - Fuel Injection Rated 1/8" NPT for Ford 7.3L (94-97)

Ya that's an interesting thoughts...I'm about to do the whole valve cover gambit, and from the videos I watched, I didn't recall seeing a schrader valve on either side of the fuel rail and you're totally right, there isn't too much space to frack around with that...I wonder if something could be done leading up to the fuel rail, or maybe even something around the fuel pressure regulator...

Is there a certain part# number for those?
    Thank you!

I was debating on getting a cleaning done or just buy some genuine new ones from the yota parts dealership at 40% off MSRP sale (they are pricey!!) and then find the right trusted shop to do this for me...which is dammed difficult to do these days

There in only one denso type injector that they offer that replaces the old style, they are reconditioned, they don’t recommend rebuilding the stock Asain ones because they fail after 150k, call them if you need.
They are the large flow like the 2000-2004 flow rate rather then the 95-99 flow rate so that’s just a little more flow or cc

You will always know when the solenoid is faulty because it will misfire when engine reaches full temp and run perfect on cold start. I had to learn this the hard way.

I hope other members read this and it helps with diagnosing faulty OEM Aisin injectors.

I don't know at what mileage one might expect to have issues?
I've got the original mileage at 366k after 28+ years and no noticeable issues I can detect from the norm OTHER THAN a very decrease in MPGs right after I had to get a yota1 rebuilt r150F put in after the pilot bearing chewed up the original input shaft

Significant decrease in MPG may or may not be injector related?

When your mileage is somewhere around 220K-250K miles an OEM Aisin injector, or two, is likely to fail.

Either yours were replaced at some point or you have been extremely lucky.

I did notice that the desno injections don’t make that sewing machine ticking noise too that OEM ones make when they are cleaned

The Denso injector is superior to Aisin, it does not fail. It has a one piece stainless steel injector nozzle.

    Extremely lucky!
The only real major issues I have had in 28 years with it have been the front wheel bearing, VCG weep, sticky pilot bearing, noisy speedo needle and a steering rack weep ... and that crankshaft pulley that imploded into the moving engine fan blade on a hard stop in the pouring rain
