Anyone interested in the TRD oiled air filter 3rd gen V6? Located near Syracuse, NY

 

My build & listing: truck bed set up for 3rd gen, 6' bed.

Two Qs:
1) anyone interested?
2) is $350 an appropriate asking price?

(Yes, I realize the irony of asking potential buyers if I'm priced too high )

 

IMO, $350 is a steal: especially if you can easily break it down and either store it flat in the bed or remove it.

I see the cap on the bed, but added bonus if it has a weather-resistant finish...

 

Couldn't quite store it flat: the short riser supporting thr left side (wheel wheel height) is fixed to the bed platform--all glue, no a single screw in it.

It stayed in the bed ~Dec-April/early May and while it is fully poly'd w/ 3 coats, the bottom of both risers I put ⅛" trim tack nailed in as protection for the plywood but also designed consumable parts should there ever end up with water in the grooves of the truck bed.

Also selling Leer Cap for 3rd gen, 6' bed. Sky Silver color matched. Both sides have windoors with sliders, front glass is removable. Thule crossbars included (items on rack are not). Have key for rear glass but do not for sides.

Re: water protection: Maybe a couple of small squares of Trex screwed onto the bottom of each leg to help protect them?

 

the original plan had been to put a strip of nylon or some smooth, plastic type material but the ⅛" trim held up well.

 

You selling the truck or just changing setups?

 

Picked up a slide-in camper last year so the cap & bed build have just been collecting dust.

 

Have some Trail Edition T4R wheels in my basement. These are the OEM Gunmetal (almost black?) wheels. I bought them used, was going to get some 17" tires for them but decided against it because frankly I just don't care much anymore and want to trim my inventory of parts to aid in eventually moving.

I have a whole set of 4R lugnuts as well. These are wheels only, no TPMS. I am looking for $600 picked up. I am in zip 07068, but would be willing to meet as far south as Princeton area. Thanks. My wife will probably say no but I’ll ask anyway. If yes, I will be in West Forks ME for Labor Day and could possibly meet in Waterville on the way up or way back. Otherwise I’m on the opposite side of new England!

I like how you did the black cap. It makes it look more like a truck and less like a SUV IMO
