Yea, just to get any dust or anything before I apply the wax after it’s been sitting overnight or when I get done work.

Thinking more, I’d probably use an alcohol prep spray over a detail spray. Most of those have waxes and other things in there.

Yeah like a 50% IPA mix is pretty standard. I’d consider rinsing after you clay as well.

There are other wax/oil strippers to use instead of IPA that have more lubricity to use after a polish so you don’t undo your polish work or at least mar it.

Last… Would recommend a nice sealant before a wax. Waxes just don’t bond the same way with the paint.

Thanks for the advice. I did mean to put in there that I’d rinse after the clay.

I’ll see what sealant works well with the Fusso coat.

I was just coming to say that after a little more research. Got the results searching different words

Sounds like all I really need is the Fusso and that’s it (at the end). Then they have a spray coating that’ll “freshen” up the wax.

You could even do a true carnauba wax on top of the Fusso too after it cures.

    Then a ceramic detailer.

I’ll have to think about that one. That might change to properties of the water bearing. I’ll see how it looks and go from there. Appreciate all the advice!

    No doubt.

Don’t spend too much time contemplating the physics of water beading. People who talk about it are either full of shit or are working with vehicles (or other craft) well beyond our comprehension.

Just protect it, enjoy your work, and move on.
