New to the forum. I've read a few posts and am encouraged by the exchange of ideas and experiences.

I have a 2025 TRD Sport with the 6'2" bed. Bronze oxide. Love the truck.

Ordered a BAK Industries Revolver x4ts roll up aluminum cover. It wasn't the cheapest and I'd installed the BAK Flip on my 2022 Honda Ridgeline, with no problems. They delivered the system with the Tacoma-specific mounting adapters missing. They were actually removed from the box before shipping. It took several phone calls a handful of emails during which time they kept tugging me along, "oh, Tony in production has a work order for it...". Then when I told them I was tired of waiting (7 weeks at that point) the guy at BAK tells me there is a design problem they haven't solved yet. They were experiencing failures.

Well, I ordered the parts through ExtremeTerrain.com and I had emailed them about the missing parts, they did nothing. Now they're telling me they can't refund my money because it's been more than 30 days since the purchase. Oh, they'll give me a store credit. Understand this, the defective parts were removed from the box so that I would play phone-tag and email-tag while the clock ran out. I'm thinking they're a shady bunch of @$$0s! They need to handle BAK Industries for this problem and I need to made-whole.

So, if you've got a 2024-2026 Tacoma and you're looking for something with T-slots, I wouldn't give these guys my business. I'm not even sure that this problem is limited to the T-slot version, might be all the Revolver x4 tonneau covers.

If either company does the right thing, I will add that to this post. But, until that happens I may only continue to share my story in every forum that represents the owner community.

Now, for my question, anyone know a reputable company that makes a roll-up tonneau cover that won't get in the way of a rack or that can be used as the base for a rack? I've got kayaks, I occasionally need to haul long things like lumber. I like the roll-up because it doesn't completely block the back window.

    Thanks for reading. Suggestions, please.

Take the store credit see if you can get a Lomax stance tri fold instead. I've had several x4s covers on my 3rd gen, quality isn't on par with the price point imo.

Rough Country also makes several tonneau covers that are decent for the price.

Sorry to hear that you had the bad experience described above. I was looking for the same thing you are for the same reasons and got the revolver cover after doing lots of research. Did they happen to mention what the failure/design problem was? If you still have yours and aren't opposed to installing it, mine has been a great add and worth recommending to others. Interestingly enough, one of the reasons that I felt comfortable purchasing despite coming across two known problems people had with them (1.vinyl peeling/exposure to sunlight weakening the adhesive and 2.end caps that can break too easily) was the overwhelming feedback regarding their excellent customer service and willingness to stand behind the product. Haven't done any kayak/canoe/etc to this point, but here's a pic to see how well it works w/ lumber. Hope you get things worked out---- it sucks to get new truck and run into problems so early. If you have any questions that I could help you out with, let me know. Will be happy to help if I can----welcome to TW.

    We like the Truxedo PRO-X15

We use it with our CXR and VRS racks, it is still able to roll all the way up with the rack installed.

Good information. The problem I had was they removed the adapter rails and sent me the system, with now way to mount it. I have the cargo management rails below the edge of the bed, the adapters are supposed to go on each side. They've said they're in production, until they admitted their solution doesn't work. I'll take a look at the ones you suggested. I'd like to get this going and I want to use a rack to haul sit-on-top fishing kayaks and sometimes one of my sea kayaks.

Glad I found this thread, since I'm looking at the same thing you are, TT25. A hard roll up tonneau with t slot rails to support a rack that doesn't interfere with the tonneau. I was looking at the BAK Revolver X4ts as well, with a different rack than their Elevated Rack but that also uses t slot attachments. Plenty of setups using retracting tonneaus with t slots but I don't want to lose that extra room under the cover. I'll be monitoring this thread to see if anyone else had any good suggestions (I've been doing hours of internet searching with the BAK revolver X4ts getting the most references.

BTW, this will be for a 2023 Double Cab TRD off road with the 5 ft bed.
