Hello. Just bought some tail lights on OfferUp. Brand new. I installed them on my 2007 Tacoma. Once I installed them the sequential lights when turning on my turn signals became fast when using my turn signals on and only the headlights worked. As for the tail lights. The turn signals are not working at all. The emergency lights work. The lights flash when unlocking and locking my truck as well. Doubt it’s a problem with the lights themselves. But for some reason the turn signals do not work at all on the tail lights.

Looked at my fuse box and replaced a few that I thought might’ve been the issue but haven’t seen much forums with this specific problem so I’m not sure if I replaced the correct ones.

The tail lights are the Alpharex Novas.

The fast blinking is happening because your truck isn’t seeing the correct resistance in the turn signal circuit. When you switch to LED turn signals, the load drops, which is why most aftermarket taillights come with a load resistor. Sounds like you’re running aftermarket headlights too. Do they have load resistors? If so, I’d check those as well. Your old taillight turn signal bulbs may have still provided just enough load to keep the LED turn signals working, but now that everything is LED, there might not be enough draw on the circuit causing your headlights to hyper blink and the tail turns to not work at all.

If the tails flash when you lock/unlock but don’t do anything with the turn signal on, that means the LEDs themselves work. Since it’s all the same circuit, the truck is definitely sending the signal, but the lights aren’t picking it up right. Usually that comes down to the resistor setup not working properly.

Ah alright. Yes the guy I bought them from insists on me going back to him so he can show me that they worked on his truck before selling them. I currently do not have resistors on the front but those work fine. Don't think its a fuse because I just put the OEM ones back on this morning and everything works just fine. Might need the resistors. The guy also said the box didn't come with resistors and that when he connected them to his 2015 truck it was just plug and play. Are most of these load resistors universal? Like I can just go to an Autozone and buy those or do you suggest ordering online?

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
2015 had some leds in oem tail lights but was maybe just the brakes. Dont remember. The 2007 did not have oem led tails. Not sure if there might be some difference due to year models that would let the new tails work plug n play for his truck but not in yours.
I would assume a resistor should help though.

Ah I see! Is it just plug and play? So no need for the Resistors?? Where does it go? Is installment easy?

Yep, straight plug n play, this is instead of doing resistors. The stock flasher is on the top backside of the interior fuse/relay box. Just turn on your signal and feel around until you feel it clicking. I like this one because you can also adjust the rate of flash with it. Keep in mind that it works on some Tacomas and not others, so be prepared to possibly return it and have to do the individual resistors at the lights. I think you'll be fine with your 07 but I'm not 100% sure.
