Man… that passenger side was a PITA. The driver side was a breeze, thankfully.

I have done all the fluids with a stock height truck on the ground. There is lots of room. Really just about comfort unless you physically dont fit under your truck.

When I pull the IFS skid plate I will have a better idea of room. Not enough clearance now to get back to the oil drain currently is all I can report. Too much annoyance removing/installing the plates if I might need the plates.

Yeah, I don’t have it. Probably a good thing, I really don’t think I would use it anyway.

I would occasionally if I lives in a frigid place and wanted the truck to be tolerable when I climbed in. Else it is just a "party piece" to show off ... probably to the other party-goers who find that demonstration yet another reason to avoid you in the future. :anonymous:

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
I actually use the remote start a lot more often in the blistering hot summer months when the black leather seats can literally burn your backside! At least in the winter you can bundle up and use seat heaters and such. That's how I use it at least.

If it helps you, then you should. I lived is areas that can be frigid for 30 years. Hot vehicles are just something I have learned to live with in PHX.

My 2023 SR5 has the Smart Key Fob (push button start) and I do not have remote start (don't know if it would work with the paid app thing), it seems to be a TRD and up trim level thing, or at least an (tech?) option...

Remote start is on my wish list though, only because my dogs ride with me almost everywhere I go and you can not lock the doors with the truck running without using the manual door key, if I run in to pick up a Pizza (under a minute) etc, it is not practical to use a door key while holding 2+ pizzas (as an example), but with the remote start I could get out-lock the doors with the smart key (touching the handle) and then remote start it, even if the doors don't lock (don't know if they do or not), it would kill the engine if someone opens the door...

Very dangerous to leave any live, breathing, mammal, that you care about in an internal combustion vehicle with the engine running but not moving.
    Not because of theft.
Ever heard of carbon monoxide ?!

Yes I have, I am a retired 35+ year master tech... lol

Not much different then sitting at a long red light or in bad traffic, I DON'T leave them in the truck for longer than 5 minutes at the longest... Most of the time the wind is blowing also... Plus the windows are always lowered...

So I guess, in your words of not leaving any live thing in a non moving vehicle, that at red lights that can take 5-10 minutes to get through, I should get the dogs out of the truck???

Seriously? Here in America we don't have a problem with pet deaths from carbon monoxide poisoning inside a running vehicle. LOT'S of other things to work on but that certainly isn't one of them, sheez...

My most recent post was wrong about the remote start process on my truck. I press the lock button three times and on the fourth press you hold the lock button down till it starts. Sorry for the wrong info.

    Agreed 100%

I have been doing this for decades with no issues, now I would not do this with my Hot Rod... lol

    A busy week so far.
Lot's of sweating in Austin, full day of lazy tubing in New Braunfels, dinner on the river walk in San Antonio, checking out the USS Lexington, and finally enjoying some time on the beach in Corpus Christi.
A great trip even with a broken AC.
Tomorrow we are going to do the full Padre Island.

Ok Mr no it all big mouth "old.......
    and also davessr5
Maybe in "America", but I see you both live in rather "warm places"
Up here in Canada where it actually gets really cold, people go into a store or restaurant for 5 minutes or 50 or more.
I'm not talking about stopped at a traffic light or something like that.
And yes people and pets die up here from carbon monoxide.
