There was a post recently (not sure how recently) where the OP found injectors common to other toyotas and had them all listed out... IIRC it was like a high lander or the lexus equivalent...

Well technically it was just harmonic balancer puck of metal that launched
But it's all one piece :(

That is the one thing I was wrestling with purchasing when I did my timing belt etc. about a month ago...I just couldn't quite bring myself to buy a new one, it was like $5-600 from the factory, but as soon as I saw you post that I was regretting not purchasing it.

Wait for one of the parts dealershops holiday sale and get over 40% off that ridiculous MSRP :spending:

Did you notice looseness in yours or why did you feel it needed a new one?
Mine was making a horrific ticking noise days before the event but I had no clue where that noise was even coming from!

I did notice a wobble in mine when the engine was at idle so that’s why I replaced mine and that would be around 400k on that balancer when I did the new heads

Nope, I inspected it the best I could when it was off, but I really didn't know what to look for besides maybe that hard rubber seperating from the metal...I would assume one would notice some cracking or something, I did also move it back and forth before taking the crank bolt off and it seemed fine, but next timing belt change I'll probably do it...I'm at 270k currently.

Mine hit the fan 'literally lol' before 193k :(
AND I did have it in the local yota shop for diagnostics a couple of times because that consistent noise was worrisome
I was told it was the clutch throw out bearing making the chatter so I went with that after making a return during the cold winter when sound might travel better, sounded like right behind the grill but I was assured it was the throw out bearing and that sounds can travel around..which is true lol

Just out of curiosity, how would you describe the sound it was making?
