You’re going to have to pay for your own transition.

IMHO YOUR SOL. I could be wrong, and I hope I am but, I haven’t seen anything up this way to change my mind.

They are going to have to give you a paved transition, just normal driving in and out would tear that edge in short order. I believe that would "fix" the problem from their point of view so there wouldn't be anything to sue for.

Yeh imo the job isn't completed. No way they think that's acceptable. What are you supposed to do, float your Gt350 up to the road?

Wow, that’s a drop off. I wish you the best of luck with getting it resolved. I have no experience with that. The only way I can see a lawsuit would possibly work, is to get several of your neighbors in on it.

Good morning shop crew, have a great and blessed Thursday.

Around these parts they always come back and put more pavement down for the transitions. Give it a week or two and see if that's what they do.

When they got trucks hauling in asphalt it's easier to keep rolling straight than to take the time to do all the driveways, that way when they come back they only have a couple trucks tied up instead of a lot of them.

Have you gone to a city council meeting and raise the issue publicly? Do you have a county road commission that holds public meetings? In my county they do and they are elected commissioners. I'd look around and see if any other roads in the county where the driveways have been treated the same way or if you find any that have been leveled up. Stop and talk to the owners. Find out what happened with them, there could be strength in numbers. You might consult with a lawyer, especially if you find other with the same issue, but I wouldn't hold my breath.:help: I think they are going to say it's your responsibility to level up your driveway to meat the road. But I could be wrong:fingerscrossed:, you may have a case with the runoff sediment issue or if you can get a class action thing going. You could try contacting the local news, those local investigation reports on the evening news often gain needed attention.

I'm thinking of a parallel with the water company. The water company is generally responsible for the water main line up to and including the water meter. Most water lines usually extent a couple feet off the main water line on to private property that the water company is responsible for. So I wouldn't think it would be out of the realm of possibilities that the road dept. should put a ramp to your existing driveway. I wouldn't expect them to put a new driveway in, but a ramp sorta like this, maybe.:notsure:

You also might want to call around and get some quotes on how much it would cost you to put in a ramp like that. Any lawyer is probably going to want to know how much you were damaged.

:hattip: Much appreciated. To all who’ve weighed in, thank you very much.

Yeah, that post was a sleepless rant.. I know a suit would be a lengthy battle with probably no grounds to even get going.

Somethings got to happen. What that is, I’m not so sure at this time.

We got home right at dark yesterday and heard a bobcat near the food plot. Apparently, it was calling it's little one(s). I sure hope I got a picture of it, I'll be checking the camera today. My wife said she saw one a few weeks ago.

Go to the 14 second mark and that is what we heard. It was cool.
