I wish they would jump through the hoops to get them a CARB exemption. They did update the website to say they are not only illegal in CA but possibly federally so maybe they are getting some pressure to do proper testing......

Honestly our engine bays already keep most of the dust and moisture out. The bigger issue there is heat. The extra protection is very good news for installing places like in the bedsides though.

The heat would be my main concern as well.

I like the mount. From my understanding a CB antenna will not work with GMRS. There are plenty of very good GMRS antennas out there. I want to run both radios in my truck due to logging trucks in my area still operating on CB and most off road vehicles using GMRS.

What mounts are you using for your flashlights and such on your console mount?

Yeah not compatible. Did a little googling after I posted that. Different frequencies. Im still very much an amateur to radio stuffs and still learning the differences between them. Didnt use my cb much. But I plan to get more use outta this one.

And just some cheapo (soft) rubber holders I found on Amazon. Need to find something sturdier (harder) so they "snap" in better. When its hot the rubber ones get even softer and the lights are barely held in place. Good bump and they'll probly fall out. Ha. Haven't yet tho. Might just use two of them per light, with the heavier flashlights anyways.

Oh and these for mounting to molle panel. Overkill for small lightweight items like lights. Ill probly use these to mount a fire extinguisher/other heavy items.

Otherwise I just got some R4t molle mounts and theyre great. And you get more for cheaper. Bought 4 packs of those. Perfect fit with the rago mounts.

Drove the full Padre Island today and man that beach is amazing. Parked at mile 55 to relax and eat lunch, the next nearest vehicle/person was 5 miles away. Only 2 cars passed us in the 3.5 hours we were relaxing, it was like your own personal beach.

Grilled up some fajita tacos in the Adventure Taco. Definitely the highlight of the trip.

Usually when I'm in scenic places I am hiking so it's pretty rare the Taco is with me.

I have the extended warranty so hopefully it costs nothing.

Austin is pretty cool, it's like the Minneapolis of the south. Lot's of biking and cool restaurants. I'd recommend watching the bats leave Congress Ave bridge it was really cool to see.

Replaced front pads and rotors. Even though the originals looked fine (27K miles), I was getting really bad steering wheel vibration down the 11k-ft 7% grades CO is famous for. Haven't thoroughly tested yet, but so far they feel better.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
My guess why it wouldn't be Fed approved is crash worthiness with all of those welds.

    This and that
    For “protection”; in the cab
Outside the cab people run the lines all over the place.

My arguement/reason for in the cab was, I already had the seat jackers from desert does it, it remains protected from the elements as I and my passengers would, and just running electrical lines not air lines.
I use a wifey system I got from one the companies in the yotaverse.

Isn’t it too loud for the passengers inside while in use?
