Is it possible to use 2024 Tacoma stock rims on a 97 Tacoma? The tires are 295/70/17 so decent size tires, I have been using the tires but since getting the new rims they are just sitting way too far in. So far that the tire hits the upper control arm before the rim gets close to the stud. Is there any way to use this setup or is it a lost cause?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I am not sure of the 2024 Rims . You are sure they are Toyota ?

The wheels fit fine without the tires??

I run 17" after market rims on my 2000 4 Runner no problems.

I need to double check the tire size

If your suspension is stock a lift kit might be the cheapest option.
it sounds like your tires are to tall. Without pictures it is just a guess.

    welcome to TW!

the late model wheels have too much backspacing to run without spacers with any tire wider than stock.

fwiw I needed 1.5” spacers to keep the sidewall off the UCA with 34x11r17 on late model 17s

Only way to run them is a spacer set with no hub bore that rely on the lugs.

I know the hub bore is differnt that’s not a problem because I would need a spacer anyway. A not hub centric spacer, I’m just trying to figure out if there’s even a big enough spacer to account for the back spacing on the new wheels. I have a 3” level on the truck and have used the same exact tires on the truck already I just don’t know if there’s a way to get the wheels pulled out far enough.

Instead of running wheels designed for different vehicles why not just get some 1st gen wheels that bolt right up to the hub? You might even be able to fit 15" wheels on that 1st gen which would look better anyway. There's probably 100 different alloy OEM Toyota wheels that would easily fit on that truck.

How did the Silverado wheel fit? That's a good looking wheel.
