Yeah, Costco has 5 gallon cans for around $20 each. Then again I think I paid close to $1000 for an arb twin on a desert does it mount for under the passenger seat so, :notsure:

Yeah I think I've dumped at least $15k on truck mods so $2500 on a tank isn't that much in the grand scheme of mods but still more than I am willing to spend...at least for now. Lol.

At least you make the effort to bolt stuff on the truck and get some use out of it. I still have 2.5 fox elites, rxt leafs, 2 sets of wheels and a handful of other things sitting in boxes. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to it or maybe I'll just put it up for sale. I know I've spent more than 10k on upgrades over the years, but I stopped counting after that.

Btw, those fajitas looked really good! :D

    This and that
Well, the passenger door is usually open when the compressor is running. The compressor is really not that loud, just a single arb. There’s plenty of shit that’s loud that I’ve had passengers complain about, the stereo, the windows, low range (both 2 and 4 is pretty whiny), this or that clunk from somewhere up front, d-rings in the bed rail. But really it’s not that loud at all, mostly people are fascinated by it.

I have my Viair mounter between the battery and the headlight. I normally have the hood open when airing up my tires coming off the trails, so there is plenty of cooling air circulating.
I can run the compressor while moving and am hoping that the front grill allows the relative wind air to reach the hot compressor head and cool it sufficiently. It must because it has been installed and used for the last 7 years now without any issues. (it does get dirty, but no water intrusion)

The bats are very cool to watch!

Bit-o-trivia: Did you know that Carlsbad Caverns in NM were discovered because the rancher though he was seeing smoke from a prairie fire. He investigated and saw it was millions of bats exiting the caverns. Takes a LOT of bats to look like a column of smoke from a distance.

Yeah it takes some pretty mad skills to get out of your vehicle while driving down the road and air up your tires...:rofl::rofl:

Not having a dog in this fight, I can't see why having the air compressor mounted inside the cabin would be of any noise concern...

IF you or anyone else was worried about having the compressor under the hood area, I would think you could make a cold air induction kind of box for it to help with the heat, even put a mess filter on it to slow/stop the dirt... Just my twisted thinking... lol

Despite my concerns, I've seen it work for so many different builds. If I didn't have a choice, I think I'd tuck it in there myself. Hoping there's enough room for a dual compressor in one of my flatbed's side compartments though.

Yes I did know that. My home town is Roswell NM about 80 miles north of Carlsbad. I’ve seen the bats leave the cave at dust. It’s dang cool. The caves are massive. One giant room about 10 stories down is close to the size of a football stadium.

Gave The Tick fitted with some sunglasses today.

Side, back, and sunroof got 5%. Front windshield is 20%.

(Yes, it's COMPLETELY illegal in Mississippi. Do I care? Absolutely not. Helps to be in good with the local constabulary. ;))
