leveling kit questions

im about to buy a leveling kit off of eBay but i need to know what level to get (2 in, 2.5 in, 3 in). and will it work with aftermarket suspension kits?

What do you mean by "aftermarket suspension kits"? Are you talking about a lift kit? If so, you wouldn't need a spacer in the first place because it would be part of the kit.

FYI: Hellbentsteel.com has a spacer that a few on here have used. It's similar to the Readylift but WAY cheaper ($65/free s&h right now). Basically, you only have to remove the coilover, bolt it on top, and replace it. No spring compressor involved.

yeah a lift kit. like do you use it with the lift kit or just separate.

 

Separate. A kit would include everything you'd need to lift it. These are leveling spacers. However, if you raise the front 2.5", more than likely it will be higher than the rear and you'd have to add an AAL or block to level it out. I wish HBS made a 1.5" spacer because that would be just about perfect.

 

so it will work with your stock suspension? do you really need a lift kit if you were to get this?

 

Put some 5100 Bilsteins on the front set at 2.5'' and you're good to go.

 

what about the back? and the.... coilovers??

 

If you're just leveling the back doesnt need anything lift wise. The Billy's use the stock front coils.

 

I think setting the billys at 1.75 will be the level setting. 2.5 will be a little nose high I believe.

Anyway, you can use the stock coils with the billys, but it gives you the option to upgrade to the adjustable coilover from ToyTec later. It's designed to work with the 5100s.

Yeah, you're right. Mine was a bit nose high at 2.5" before the rear TSB..now the rear is a bit higher.
