Yes, it will be more powerful if you compare 4 pounds to 4 pounds because the 1320 is pushing more air and more efficient

I will say that 4psi on the 1320 feels like 6-7psi on the M62, so nothing is lost there.

Your in California? If so you need to do emissions? That being said you might not pass with those larger injectors.

I would get the smaller pulley, add an FMU, cooler plugs, bigger fuel pump and you will be good to go

Yeah I am. I actually am not passing smog right now because my dang catalytic readiness hasn't come on as OK. Going to try the special drive routine for it to come on.

Anyways, do you truly think I wont ping with the set up you mention above?

@1997tacomav6 , just called Gabe at Snpspeed. Super cool guy.

My conclusion is if you have knocking at low RPM, neither the 7th injector nor the FMU will help there. Those will only help after I think 3K if I recall. So I can get a smaller pulley but I'll get the pinging at lower range most likely still.
It sounds like long term the best is to go Haltech, just not ready to bite bullet yet.

@owenfri sounds like you have no ping at 2-3K with 65mm and the piggyback from URD huh?

Every truck is different depending on tire size, weight, auto, manual, if injectors are running at just cleaned or with lots of miles( (each injector has a fuel filter on them) pulley size, outside temperature, spark plugs. New fuel filter.

I have never had low rpm ping with the stock ECU or haltech regardless.
When I dropped down to the smaller pulley size is when I had ping.
Try putting in a bottle of Lucas x3 octane boost into your tank and see what happens. I bet your ping will go away.
Try a small 5.5 ounce bottle that works for 15 gallons it will raise the octane 3 numbers and is around 5.00 if you buy it by the case.

The high flow fuel pump, FMU, two stage cooler plugs, fuel injectors cleaned with stock eliminated all of my ping issues.

    snpspeed.com has that kit

Thanks, I spoke to Gabe at Snpspeed about the kit. I got my injectors cleaned at motorwest during supercharger install.
Maybe I'll get the octane boost and see what happens to lower end ping. My friend in florida was filling up with 93 for like $3 bucks a gallon...

I really want a smaller pulley but worried about making the ping worse. I guess the FMU kit is relatively cheap, so not a huge risk in trying it with slightly smaller pulley.

I would at least do octane boost to see results,
    1) two step cooler plugs
    2) new fuel filter
    3) FMU
    4) higher flow fuel pump
In this order to see your results

I completed 1&2 during my SC install so will keep going down the list.

Got a P2238 code this weekend as I was performing an idle warm up, preparing the drive cycle to get Cat monitor ready for smog. That might have been my issue as now the CEL goes on and off. I will replace today and see. Wonder if that was affected by the SC install since the O2 sensor upstream the cat monitors the AF for the truck?

"3 points" of octane refers to an increase of 0.3 octane numbers. That bottle is doing practically nothing.

Cool, installed new O2 sensor and did the slow drive + slow down recommended online. Right after the cat monitor went to OK.

Now I better hurry and enjoy my fuel upgrades smog free for a year

It’s 3 octane numbers = 30 points, yes it does make a big difference!

I swapped my ECU with a 97 4runner and my tvs 1320 runs great. It even passed smog with 220k factory injectors and factory fuel pump.
