Brake flluid recommendation

    the bottle of peak is sealed , must be old because all the bottles now say "synthetic" , but its sealed anyway . the fluid in my 09 tacoma is original and im just thinking about replacing calipers

    That is kinda how I always viewed the issue of keeping left over brake fluid after doing brake work. If it sat 6 months or a year after the seal was broken then it's trash. Especially in a non cliamate controled garage or shed here in Southern Pennsylvania where the weather varies a lot through the seasons.

    did you ever get a new frame? I just remembered they replaced my brake lines during the frame replacement

    All the glycol based brake fluids are compatible. Those are 3, 4, 4LV, and 5.1. The lower viscosity varieties (4LV and 5.1) give a better clutch feel if you happen to have a manual transmission. My favorite is 4LV based entirely on clutch feel. Brand really doesn’t matter.
