    I got my fenders from SET, that's why I mentioned it. The plywood would be glassed over similar to boat construction techniques, but your right aluminum would be nicer. When I did my drawer I used plywood (no glass) and it turned out ok. I tried to use a nicer Marine paint and it turned out to be absolute shit. I will check out SendcutSend. Sounds interesting.     Check out Deckorators Voyage product. The composite material is mineral based. 30-40% lighter than similar decking.
    The embossed grain offers better traction than others, as well. IMO

    I'm building a deck with it right now.
