I have the connector that goes into the headlight stalk, and I'd like to add a couple of female terminals to the wiring harness side of the connector.

I know that the connector is C14, and part number 90980-11672

I also know that there are two terminals for said connector:

    82998-12420
    82998-12340* (24380)

I'm curious what the "*" is about in the second part number, so I can go about ordering the correct pigtails.

Oh, and I suppose, for the price, I might also just prefer to purchase some female terminals from digikey or somewhere like that, but I don't know which to purchase, or how to ensure fitment.

Any help would be amazing. Thanks!

Awesome, missed that entirely; though I did see the table below it with all the gold-plated equivalent part numbers, lol.

    Thanks!

Couldn’t you just go cut some connectors off a junkyard truck? I’ve done something similar for the airbag squib and clock spring connector when I was trying to upgrade my steering wheel to a Sequoia one.

I may have to; hoping to learn about the connectors/terminals in general as well though.

I ripped the knock sensor harness off my 3RZ intake when I was doing some engine work. Went into the dealer with my electrical FSM with all the part numbers, and they quoted me almost $60 for the two pins, seal, connector house, and clip with a few days lead time.

The parts guy went into the back and produced some kind of adapter harness that had the right connector on one end, told me it was leftover from a service campaign. Only charged me $12 for it. Instead of having to need the right crimper and right dies, I just soldered it on with headshrink off the leads.
