Is it scary that I know every one of those partial labels?

Made a japaleno sauce the other evening.
12 ozs japaleno from the garden
    1 lg onion, garden
    3 garlic cloves, garden.
Heated all until peppers were soft enough to fork. Cooled, Removed seeds from peppers
And blended while adding avocado oil.
    Then salted to taste.
It's good and creamy, but it's not wow. So my braincells always wonder, what will kick it to the next level ?
I sat there slopping it on my tacos while the wife was using her picante sauce. I didn't dare reach for hers even though it's better.

It is more than a cookbook. It is also brilliant literature. And superb photos.

It could have it's own thread. Mickler was a genious. He did FL proud.

It also depends if it’s kefir or key lime or a grocery lime. Variants change things. My Meyer Improved lemons are like grapefruit!

Went to Jeni's tonight. Was hoping for obscure instore flavors only. Nope. Chuck Testa.

Had Buttercream Berfday Cake. They did have one non store flavor - Watermelon Taffy. Which I sampled. 9/10.

    Chicken nuggets,
MUST fry in a quality oil or lard.
Kikkomans tempura batter , green bag.
    Cut chicken breast to size.
    Fry until golden brown.
Team it up with a sweet and sour and you have it going on

Make your own sweet n sour… really have it going on… it’s not hard… find a good preserve you like, strawberry, orange marmalade, whatever… apple cider, rice, or cane vinegar…. Delicious…

Her sweet and sour is homemade, iirc, pineapple juice , brown sugar, ketchup and rice vinegar makes up the most of it. Yes delicious. But the preserve idea is sure one to try, orange marmalade.

I used to make sweet n sour pork occasionally… cube pork, pat dry… roll in flour with nutmeg… fry… do the rest… voila.
