RLT does not do alignment in house, but they can arrange for your truck to get alignment at a shop that knows how to align trucks that have suspension upgrades. RLT can procure your alignment needs.

Killing time on a roadtrip in salt lake right now. Camped last night disliked the heat lol. Went ahead and got a cheapo motel for today-monday mornin. Should've booked one of the hostels and meet some other people traveling through solo and maybe even go do stuff with them. Gotta be over in Durango CO by the 27th. Golfing and kinda just killing time in SLC. Found an alpine lake hike not too far from town that isn't part of the watershed so I can swim at the top. The watershed restrictions are a new one for me. Made sure to check. Kinda bummed yall don't have a crunch fitness here in Salt Lake. Would help me use up some time.

Anyone able to go hit a trail in moab on the 26th? Really want to do sevenmile rim since I never got around to it on my trip through in march.

Nearby mountain camping in the Wasatch gets pretty full, especially on weekends. Watch the valley and low mountain lakes for toxic algae blooms. Open water swimming can happen in Jordanelle, Pineview, Smith and Morehouse, Causey and a few other spots.

I camped last night on the hills and could tell it would only get worse. Was also super hot. So I said screw it for a cheap hotel so I can also do laundry catch up on stuff on my laptop study etc

Found “silver grace lake” up above silver flat and silver lake gonna check out.
Still Mad at myself for not thinking about hostel. Cool that SLC actually has some.
Eaglewood and old mill courses both have been super fun. Reasonably difficult but not excessive given how much room for error there is

Some random comments while sitting on my arse watching Yankees v Red Sox.

    1. it’s been hot AF! Like next level hot.

    2. I’ve noticed a lot of 6th Gen 4Runners on the road lately. I still like the look of the 5th Gen better, but the 6 is growing on me.

    3. Also noticing a few more 4th Gen Tacos. I’m just not feeling it. I’m still a fan of the 3rd.

    4. Seeing a lot of the Chevy/GMC version of the Tacoma, which I think looks like the 3rd Gen Taco. I don’t notice many Ford Rangers on the road. It seems like they’ve been replaced by the Bronco.

Have you seen the crash test of the Bronco? Holy crappy, that thing is built to fold up like a pancake. I've never seen a vehicle that pancaked completely in a crash test. I'm surprised it's legal to be sold...

The Colorados do look good. My brother got one (a 22 I think?) and won’t stop telling me how much he loves it. It’s got the baby Duramax and gets like 25mpg. He had a 4Runner for years before that.

In general I see a lot less midsize trucks in this state than I would in reno/tahoe.
I'm enjoying yalls cheap gas. Also If I could do it again, I'd get a f150 with a 6.5 foot bed and a shell. This tacos a bit tight for a month on the road without being properly "built" to be a home.

Leaving SLC to moab early tomorrow and going to try and get arches out of the way going into town again. I liked going in the backside on the fire road last time too.

I was wondering about that. I wanted to do st george then across the the east opposite of how I did my trip in march and do hikes and camp the whole way, But I do not want to camp when Its been high high 90's. Not after being up in washington/montana and feeling some 60 degree high temps at 2 pm lol

I do Like yalls state. I can see myself living here. Wanted to see/feel out salt lake area for that reason. I'll have to keep that in mind for after my 10 year navy contract lol

Fair enough. Thats how all the reno people have been acting last 5 years. All these good cities out west are getting flooded. All I know Is I refuse to live east coast unless I'm in the Tennessee mountains (once I have a choice and am no longer government property lol) . After really enjoying west coast style the last 4 years I have 0 Idea how my family has lived in fu**ing Dallas their entire lives.

I think you would fit in here just fine.

It’s been super hot. I think the planet is revolting.

Did I miss something? I thought you were from Reno. If so, what’s the Navy tie? I’m reasonably sure Nevada is landlocked. LOL.

As they say in these parts, what the heck? A month in the back of a Taco will be roomy compared to a sub!

The eastern route from St. George is pretty amazing when it's not boiling hot. The monsoon is coming this week so it might cool down. Don't miss natural bridges np.

I graduated college and applied to OCS and got a Pilot slot. Also fun fact Top Gun is now run out of Fallon Nevada (45 mins east of Reno)

And yes I would’ve loved to do all 5 parks and escalante etc again, but having done it in March I was content to see slc entirely and get 4 rounds of golf in.

I’ll still go arches for 1 hike and spend most of Tuesday in canyonlands so I’ll get part of my fix that way. I liked canyonlands way more than arches anyway.

was wanting to do 7 mile rim but do not want to wheel solo on slick rock if rains in the area. I’m not THAT stupid

If you're heading to Reno from Moab you could also see Great Basin NP and work your way up through the Ruby's. Definitely avoid the end of Burning Man.
