That left side is a down light focused on the hitch point / trailer mount. Likely has a towing package /trailer brakes on it.

No light there on my 25, just the camera on the right. If you look at the Carmax listing theres a photo of a physical key that I didn't get. Maybe that's for the tailgate?

I have bought many a vehicle so, not to argue with you, but the OP asked if anyone had traded or sold outright, so I gave my info and experience. Now to your statement. You have to be able to negotiate to get good deals. Sticker price for the new truck was $68680 minus $1000 for the diesel and $1000 dealer incentive. I asked for 45k trade for my Tacoma and the dealership gave me 44k but dropped the the price of the chevy to $62500. They wanted to make a sale and I was not in a hurry to buy so I had a better hand to play and negotiated a deal that was good for me.

A keyed lock wouldn't indicate automatic locking. What's the window sticker say? Otherwise it's all speculation. You have physical keys, they are inside the fobs.

He's asking if the lack of the keyed lock on the 25 SR means they added auto tailgate locking, because his 24 SR with the keyed lock doesn't have that feature.

Anyways this side tracked this weird thread..

But yeah my 25 has auto locking tailgate, seems like they added that to the SRs after 24 doing a little more research. Wonder what they will silently add for the 26 lol

Might be part of the sr upgrade package.

No SR upgrade package here, not complaining though. I'd rather the tailgate auto lock anyways.

What I also learned is some SRs come without the factory receiver, which is kind of crazy. Sometimes with Toyota you feel lucky to have AC

Steering wheel, Radio, 5 speed cause that's all you get

Ok on a real note it's always meant "Sport Runabout 5-speed" which means the SR is just "Sport Runabout"

Where does it scratch? Don't have mine yet (in shipping) so want to try to avoid finding out myself?

I had this problem with the 3G. I like to keep interiors looking brand new. Have a 6 year old Ford that is still perfect...I'm not crazy about it, just keep everything relatively clean and don't set hard objects on/against plastic surfaces. This was not effective for the 3G Tacoma, the door panels were shot to hell on a 2 year lease with 9,000 total miles. Really pissed me off. Hoping I can keep the 4G clean. I thought the 4G interior looked/felt sturdier than the 3G, but could be very wrong.

I am on the one year anniversary with my Real Gen. I have the Tailhunter trim. Everything inside looks like brand new. Other people can chime in.

Edit: Plenty of farts and crosswise looks.

I think he might be referring to the center console area and the door panels.

Automaker naming does seem strange sometimes. Remember, Nissan brand used to be called Datsun prior to the early 1980s.
