yeah we were definitely thrown into a pickle when he gave us just two months to figure that out. We did think about renting again but figured then was the time to buy if we could make it work.

fucking pest control kid keeps coming door to door in our neighborhood, have told him no at least 3 times (not including the times Rebecca has talked to him) and today he talked with my father in law at the door a few minutes before I got home. Then he sees me pull up and again confronts me with his sales pitch lol. Fucker rolls around on a Segway too, I mean wtf.

Man, this is by far the worst welding I've ever done

But without having replaced the entire frame assembly from new, there's no way it could've come out better

I wish I got a before picture but it had a half barrel for the bottom that was completely rusted through which I cut out yesterday (among other things)

The top angle needed half of each end cut off to allow the grilling part to go inside/lower in the grill

I capped off the angle iron feet to prevent scraping in concrete

I cut off rusted crossmembers that were way higher up and replaced them with square tube

Everything being done on a tight time constraint since my cousin just made it out here for me to fix it

Tomorrow I'll cut two side panels, a bottom panel, and weld it all up

i can’t believe i’m saying this but i think you can have him trespassed by the police if he will not follow verbal requests to leave and not return.. and that might lead to more consequences if he keeps it up

Dude they roll around with a Segway here too! But fortunately they turn away when they see the No Soliciting sign

    You should put one up

I only had to tell one guy to fuck off and run off right away after he knocked hard and woke Theo up

im glad most people respect the sign but when they don’t i am not on my best.

last one as soon as i cracked the door he immediately started going with the pitch. i just kept tapping on the sign and asking if he read it over and over. he kept trying to talk over me then finally said “yes, but” and i slammed the door in his face lol

same shit too, he was hammering on the door to the point i thought it must surely be something real important. nope!

When we first moved in it was the ADT guy. Twice a week. Monica was pregnant and working and I was at work. She was ready to call the cops on him because he wouldn't take no for an answer. He finally stopped but when spring came all the soler sales reps started showing up. I put a no solution sign up and it helped.
I think the Segways are standard issue.

Hell ya, giving that thing a 2nd life!

Almost a shame something you put a bunch of thought and work in to is gonna be halfway rusted out but keeps it cheap and saves it from the trash, and I’m sure it will churn out some awesome tri tip!

I had someone try to “challenge” me on the signs authority once… When I pointed it out he said something like “it’s not illegal.” No shit, I didn’t reference a legal statute on it, I am pointing out you are unwanted! Ended that one pretty bluntly…

My cousin was going through his phone only to realize he's had it a good 12+ years.

He was initially on the bandwagon of also just having a completely new frame but the time constraint (plus having the kiddo with me) really forced me to just work with the bare bones and cut a bunch of shit out.

Everything from hand torch (plasma), mini cut off tool, angle grinder, and a BFH and I was able to cut out all I needed.
