Been a while guys. Got some new shoes. 17x9 -38 SCS F5s. Got a set of Falken ATs 285/70/17. Came off a rubicon with 5k miles. I wanted the KO2s because they are lighter but could pass up the deal.

I added the fenders back. Painted them in Bedliner. Came out pretty good.

Different look than I envisioned originally. But here we are. Just need an alignment to get them to not rub. Until then I will stare at it in my driveway.

First attempt at some body work. Good from far. Far from good. But way better. Idk what took me so long to fix it.and why I took of the fenders.

It’s been a while since I posted an update. But this is a big one. Added a TRD supercharger with the 7th injector from URD.

Also, decided to change up the wheel and tire set up.. I think -38 offset wheels were just too aggressive.. had to move my SPC UCA's all the way forward to add 4 degrees of caster just to clear the wheel wells without rubbing.. made it drive shitty and tires wore funny.. Went with FN Wheels Counter steer X 17x8 -10.... Thanks DUSTIN!.. got 285-70-17 KO3s to go with them.. i almost got AT4s but the saving in the weight is what swayed me.. so far so good..

Bringing the UCA/UBJ forward decreases caster, which explains why the truck was driving funny.

By bring the UCA/UBJ backward, you increased the caster, which improves handling.

Whatever that chart that came with them said I did.. it was adding i believe 4 degrees plus whatever you have stock.. so I was pushing close to 6 degrees just to get the tire to clear my pinch weld that I smashed.. i also didnt get a full 3 inches out of my Fox's.. i even added a small top out poly spacer to give me that extra lift.. its that they stick out and your wheel well needs to at least be taller than the equator of the wheel..

i did buy a new steering rack today.. oem.. this one is leaking on both sides like crazy.. wheel bearings are still good.. fingers crossed.. and i just did OEM lower ball joints.. and two oem reman Cv axles, as they were shot..... how much of that is wear.. how much is that overly offset wheels.. or a combo of the two.. IDK..

also got a new carrier bearing going in today as well.. was replaced by previous owner but im suspecting perhaps it wasnt oem.. as it didnt seem to last very long..

tough to keep old trucks nice..

Before I put the supercharger in.. I figured since I was taking off all the belts to install the dynamic tensioner, while I was there I should do the timing belt (only had 30k miles on it but it was 10 years ago)... water pump (aisin kit).. new pulleys.. tensioner.. new seals for the crankshaft and camshafts.. new radiator hoses and flushed the system...

Just some photos of the refurb.. The casing seen better days so I just stripped the old paint and resprayed it with high heat paint.. i took apart the supercharger to inspect the internals... rotors looked great.. still had all their coatings.. I regreased the needle bearings.. (that grease is expensive!) changed out the pulley on the nose cone to a 2.2 inch one.. supposed to add 1-1.5 lbs of boost over the stock one.. re sealed it.. and put fresh oil in it..

I bought all the accessory parts from Underdog Racing Development.. I got their install kit.. pulley.. and 7th injector kit.. dynamic tensioner.. it took a while to put all these things together.. had to drop the gas tank to change out the fuel pump.. which was a PIA.. but other than that the 7th injector application was pretty easy.. run some wires through the firewall.. piggy back them by soldering its the ecu wires.. just getting the vacuum lines right for your application and adding the dynamic tensioner were the more tedious things..

definitely glad I did it though.. the engine really came alive.. the powerband is fantastic now.. instant power in those lower rpms.. totally different driving experience..
