Kind of on your topic. I got a MC adapter from @Basikbiker that allows you to put a GM MC onto the tundra booster. Never been real happy with the sequoia MC and tundra booster pedal feel or how much pedal movement I have. This MC should increase the fluid volume to help with pedal throw and give me better pedal feel (heavier). Did the math and am going with a 1 1/8 GM MC and redoing all the brake lines to eliminate the mess I have going to where the ABS module use to be. It’s gonna be my Labor Day weekend project. You can see the adapter plate and rod extension attached to the MC in this pic.

Mine aids in it. Then gets mad when we go over budget. It’s almost like a setup.

What kind of pedal feel do you have currently? With the T100 booster and its 1” bore (1/2 ton) master cylinder I have a little pedal play then the pedal becomes extremely firm.

I added a Tilton proportioning valve in for the rear for the rear discs and I currently have more front bias even with the valve unadjusted and set to fully open. Ass end of the truck rises up when I try a panic stop.

Well I have wilwood discs on all 4 corners with a total of 19.4sq in of caliper area. All the info and math says it needs a 1 1/8 MC. But my pedal moves 1/3 or a touch more of movement before the brakes engage and pedal pressure just needs to be firmer for my liking.
I have a proportioning valve and have it adjusted so the brakes all lock up at the same time with a ton of pedal movement. This MC should take care of both pedal feel and pedal movement according to my caveman calculations and the experts at brake shop I went to agreed with me so I’m just going for it. It’s not a bleeding issue….I have a pressure bleeder and both myself and the brake shop guys agree that the brake pedal to MC adjustment is good. Here is the mess of abs module lines currently occupying my right fender. That will be gone this weekend.

Maintenance time for my LCA’s. Is there a “better” replacement LBJ/uniball for our lower control arms? Same with the LCA bushings - are these the best option or will something else provide better longevity and be quieter?

Anyone running this rack? Says "requires 3.5" All Pro kit". Is that any 3.5" kit? How did they deal with the mounting holes, offset bungs? 3rd mount hole? Curious as the $599 price is in the Toyota reman price range.

Why do those master cylinders still exist? The lid never really seals, and they rust inside and out. We are not in the 1970's any longer.

Factory cooler includes the radiator and AC condenser; so with that being said. I have not seen (YET) any GM quick connect caps/plugs
And like I mentioned, that part you add to the side of the transmission (like the one you linked or the one I showed from ICT, takes place of the thermostat. So how do solve?
Genuinely asking cause a better cooler is clearly necessary but I am trying to keep packaging small since the location for the cooler is also where all my lights are, so I don’t know that a efan fits for my configuration.
With that said, @Pittsy do you have a link to your cooler choice? Do they have a non fan version?
Normally I grab everything off of GPI because mil discount and rewards points but they don’t have many choices since most customers are doing cars

Delete the entire factory trans cooling setup. If you want a thermostat still get an inline from improved racing, add a spin on filter at the same time. This doesn’t have to be overly complex. There is absolutely nothing wrong with deleting the factory trash in favor of a big quality cooler.

This is just routed like a 2 stage cooler, stage 1 is ATF<-> coolant and stage 2 is ATF<-> air, imo the coolant loops is pretty stupid unless the ATF is constantly running or allowed to run 30+ deg over the truck coolant temperature.

Most of the earlier Toyota trucks only had a ATF <-> coolant loop in the radiator.

now are some cases where something similar could be used for a heater for reducing the time to "steady state" performance from turn on, but idk enough about that system to tell from that diagram.

somewhat easy to bypass the whole thing tho, and run to a dedicated ATF<-> air cooler like everyone else has indicated.

I run two of these. You could just remove the fans, but why? Put an inline thermostat in, and run the fans off a temp sensor.

this is exactly what I did, minus the spin on filter. Pan already has a filter in it, an it’s one less thing I have to think about changing, restricting flow, etc etc. there’s definitely benefits to it, but God I hope I don’t have to be changing trans fluid and filters so often that it makes the time save worth it.

the improved racing stuff is the BEST. It’s all super high quality stuff, insane warranty, and it all feels super premium. You can tell someone spent a TON of time designing their stuff and testing in super tough environments.

Benefit of a spin on is it catches anything from the converter before it hits your coolers. If you ever had a bad failure it would at least reduce the potential need to replace coolers. A standard 8$ Wix every other oil change.

Yeah definitely not a bad idea.
Guess I got lucky with my last trans failing. Didn’t have any debris in my cooler.
