I was just up there over the weekend. Salida is really growing on me.

I didn't run any trails but I was camping with a bunch of non-4x4 friends at the start of a 4x4 road (just before it turned 4x4-y). One of the friends wanted to see the truck go up the road so he hopped in and started up. A Can Am showed up behind me so I pulled over as soon as there was space to let him by. The driver stopped and said to me "man, that was impressive". I was kinda confused, it was rocky but otherwise seemed like a pretty normal 4x4 road.

When I got back down the friends in camp said the Can Am got tripped up on the first hill and had to back up to take a second run at it lol.

Hey, happy birthday, hope you have a great one!!

I actually recently ended up with a patch that I was thinking would maybe be up your alley. IDK if you are in to patches, or sharing your personal info with a stranger in the internet, but if you are PM me your address and I’ll ship it out as a birthday gift!

@Kwikvette here is my latest USPS disappointment… They are still losing about 1 in 5 for me! This is an eBay return, hope I don’t get screwed on this one.

I see that one from time to time - I'd worry when it's bouncing off different stations outside of its normal route :bananadead:

    Yep

I'm not saying everyone's scope has to run a Tremor reticle, be a first focal plane setup, or require to be top tier (being the elitest I am)

But I'd never recommend the worst of the worst :bananadead:

Vortex PS-T (did they change the name?) is crazy affordable and pretty good quality

Burris line-up that shares stuff from their XTR are a little higher end, but still cheaper than Viper's Razor line

Then there's the used route, which can save you quite a bit of money

Older Leupold MK4's are always on the $300ish range and are crazy nice quality - good enough to be used in the war on Iraq (got one for one of my clones)

Tons of great options that aren't in the $2-3k range
