That is true... But my truck is almost void of all paint as is. Shitty paint on here from the factory for sure.

Which will likely be employed soon

Still gotta get down there sometime here in the near future. I have family down there as well as my cousin too that I need to visit.

Well, if you're trying to avoid snow... This is the place to do it. Haha.

Do it soon, before this place gets any hotter.

It'd be a hell of lot warmer than it is here! I need to start smacking people with Prius' and make 'em buy a Hummer or something...I'm starting to like this whole "global warming" idea!

The news reported on Monday that if it doesn't hit 60º by Friday, it will be the longest cold streak since 1917!! One negative side effect is that my training for my upcoming runs has suffered (well, that AND breaking up with my now ex-girlfriend). In fact, quite the opposite has happened and beer has been tasting REALLY good recently! :D In other words, I may just show up no matter what weekend we decide...

    Yes.
I am still hoping that we can make it. We are going to Wisconsin May 11-18 so I have to make sure that the boyfriend can take some more time off work...

What exactly are you guys planning on? Camping straight through, what "kind" of camping will it be?

God forbid you (or I for that matter) ever populate this world with children...

The oldest turns 5 next month, then 3 1/2 and 1 1/2. They're fun, but couldn't deal with another!

I haven't read through the entire thread but this looks interesting. Can't promise my presence as I do not have my summer schedule laid out yet, but I will say if those days are free I am in.

As far as potential places to go have any of you explored the MT-ID border? More specifically the Magruder Corridor? It's a stretch of road between Darby, MT and Elk City, ID. It's about 120 miles of road with no service with about 80 miles of it being wilderness road. It's doable in a stock 4wd but should be a fun challenge. Just throwing it out there. Here is a pretty good trip report from a few years ago,

looks like some of the roads i have been on just a few miles from my house.

I think something a little more challenging would be cooler IMO...
