have we talked about watch winders lately? I bought a single winder with four modes. Now, none of the modes work. It's either spin all the time or turn it off.

I have a Swatch Speedy "Mission to the Moon". I got it for a good price at the Rome airport, but I'll be honest, the bioceramic makes it feel like a kid's toy since its like 2oz. Its SO light, and the velcro strap doesn't help beat the rap.

I bought a little wood-paneled single unit from Amazon for $20, and it's been going strong for three years. Similar to this one.

I spied one of these in UN12, and I like the Moon and Earth versions. $270 MSRP, and it's Velcro? Wow.

Velcro by itself isn't too bad (aka Tudor FXD) but the whole combo makes the 'Happy Meal" feel.

Def like a substantial feeling watch, but that's a cool piece nonetheless.

Definitely like the straw strap paired with this dial. Now I have an excuse to get a Black Bay for the other strap.

Scored this one used from a Cash Converters store about ten years ago. It was cheap and I was GShock curious. I don’t really like it too much since it’s hard to read and too complicated. But for the ten years I’ve had it, I have never changed its battery!

Center console divider thingy, rubber bed mat and side steps for the wife.
I love my ADX130 so much I ordered this one as well. Hoping to get it shipped before the De Minimis exemption is lost tomorrow. If not, Wise will pay the tariff if they can't get it out in time. The 904SS is absolutely beautiful.

auction watches. is it even worth it? I was bored today and looking at an auction site and picked up some old watches for cheap. I was most interested in a Hamilton self winding. I assume none of them work. Well, I hope the digital just needs batteries. They were dirt cheap so I'll see if I can do anything with them. I guess I'll find out.

I ordered a Seiko Sport 5 SSK003 Blueberry. UPS delivered it yesterday, so a pleasant start to the long weekend for me. My first venture into automatics and GMT's.

The last jeweler in town closed up shop a couple of months ago, so I ordered a watch repair kit off of Amazon so I could size the bracelet.

Thanks! I bought as kind of an F/U to Tissot. I bought a first generation Touch back in 2006 when I began my career job. At some point in the last year it lost one of its function buttons, so I sent it to Tissot (Swatch Group) for repair. It was sent back in the same condition as I shipped it. Tissot doesn't have parts for it anymore, so they offered me $150 off of a minimum purchase of $550. It's not a terrible offer in retrospect, but in the moment, I was outraged. And as I looked through their catalog I didn't come across anything that really called out to me. I'm enjoying the new Seiko so far.

    Here's the Touch:
    PXL_20250830_234401513.jpg
Pretty beat. It's been my go-to for 16 years. I've tried others, but always come back to it. I'll keep an eye out on eBay for a replacement centre button and use my repair kit to replace it.
