I'm looking for a running board option (not a "slider") for my 1st Gen extended cab.

Based on my experience with the OE running board setup on my 2000 4Runner, I believe they provide outstanding lower rocker panel and lower door protection from FOD and winter salt slush flung up from the road.

    Thanks for any leads/links.

    Mike

I hope its acceptable to resurrect a dead thread... I'm also looking for running boards for a double cab.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the "IBoard" ones on eBay. Very little info on how they mount etc.

I have installed the IBoard on my 1st gen extended cab and I’m very pleased with them. The mounting instructions and hardware they provided worked very well. I will post pics here soon.

Glad my experience could help you with your running board choice.

FYI, I sourced SS hardware and used SS washers to insure level. For corrosion resistance at the drilled pinch weld holes I used liberal amounts of CorBan35, alternatively one could use LPS3 or your favorite corrosion inhibitor.
