Fuel level?

I have a 2020 Trd off-road, every tank I’ve ever filled up tells me that I have anywhere from 280 to 300 miles until empty. It just hit 75,000 miles, the tank of gas went to 380 until empty! Normally when things have overshot on occasion like up to maybe 312 or so it is corrected after a few short drives. But I’m now 80 miles into this tank, and it has dropped to 300, and the needle reflects exactly that as well. Is 75,000 some magical breaking in benchmark, or is something really weird going on?

I vote for magical breaking in benchmark.

 

Did you happen to change your battery? When the batt is disconnected for a few minutes, stuff resets, including the miles to empty. Happened to me when I changed mine.

 

DTE is nothing more than false hopes and shattered dreams. Drive the truck until the tank says it wants more fuel. You will go no farther this tank than the last one.
