Yeah. Everything is stock and I don't offroad. Three of there consultants including a supervisor said they never saw that much debris come out a differential. I looked on other forums and saw pictures of fine sludge or chunks. I could not find anything similar to what I discovered. (It was a mixture of all sorts of debris that took a while to clean off and collect.)There was even alot of metallic glitter. I'm sure alot got chewed.
I'm reading though they are having alot of quality control issues. I'll keep you guys posted in the following weeks.

Exactly right. And since dealers are independently owned and operated, it isn't Mr. Toyota anymore...it is Mr. Toyota Dealer. And even if the diagnosis is neglect, there is a chance they still don't charge the diag fee. The paper you sign just says that they CAN charge you if they wanted to. I've been in this exact scenario. I had a brake shoe malfunction at 12,000 miles and when I took it in, the dealer said I changed rear axles because the truck had drum brakes on it and the service writer said "It's 2021, Toyota doesn't use drum brakes anymore. You modified the truck when you put your lift on and put an older axle under this truck." The service writer gracefully waived the diag fee for that visit because I was a repeat customer even though they were grossly wrong. They put those notes under my VIN and it has been forever tainted due to one service writers ignorance. I haven't been back to that dealer since November 2022.

That’s a lot of machining debris left in there, and I’ll bet half of it didn’t even come out of the drain. Let’s hope Toyota does the right thing for you and covers this under warranty, even if that only includes opening the diff and cleaning it out thoroughly.

Thanks for your support I totally 100% agree. They should inspect, clean, flush, and/or fix and replace, all under warranty.

I wouldn't be able to believe a reputable vehicle manufacturer allowing this to come off the assembly line and be sold to a consumer.

I was already affected by the weld splatter on the rear axle recall and I'm glad Toyota did the right thing by fixing. This is the same component though so idk.
