I heard the line we are out of beef and thought about the old lady in the Wendy's commercials years ago....I'll be following the mini-x saga, I sure could use one of those.

Morning y'all, spent some time in the shop this weekend. Had to fit the new motorcycle seat from Vietnam. 1st one was a mis-measurement so they sent me a second one. This one fits good, needed some screws m5 x 8 x 16 because the original seat had self-tapping screws. After some fitment issues and an original design flaw which was fixed last evening with a stronger C-clip with a few minor adjustments.

    Stupid question.
Someone told me a long time ago that if you spun a backhoe like that you could literally unscrew it and separate it from the frame. True???

Look up "excavator slewing bearing/assembly". It's basically a bearing with a hydraulic motor with a gear on it that turns it. There's not much of a chance of them coming apart.

    1 example....

    They were clueless, lol.

If it could unscrew, why wouldn't it tighten itself when going the other way, they didn't think about that :D
