    You can put something over the top of the aluminum tube, but they do (or did) put a foam strip between the frame and the skin, so you may chew it up

    I will try the metal clamps that Lowes has. Like spring clothespins, but suspect that they will be too strong.

    Went to have it installed. Multiple failures. Barn door doesn't work.
    Returned to factory.

    Bummed that ARE lack of quality control resulted in our cap being returned to the factory. And the only way to deal with them is through a distributor. I am not getting much information from the distributor. Only that it was shipped back last Wednesday.
    Going to see an attorney tomorrow about what rights we have.

    Real Trucks buying ARE seems to have negatively affected them.

    I miss my cap. I gave it away with anticipation of the new cap.
