Supercharged engine rebuild

Magnuson lower intake manifold and fuelnrails/injectors. Been a long week, hopefully ill be able to get after it next week

 

Supercharger installed, just about ready to take it off the engine stand and mate it to the transmission. Serp belt is loose since i left the ps pump and ac compressor in the truck

Martec poly motor mounts and autolite iridium spark plugs, they didnt have ngk but, those autolites have a lifetime warranty so.. maybe they're okay, well see. Hopefully the nodak winters will treat those motor mounts decent

 

If the mounts work as advertised to stiffen drivetrain flex, that's a real nice upgrade for your application.

Engines off the stand, gonna call it a day. Picking up a cherry picker this week then next week I should have some help, hopefully be able to fly this thing in place

 

Looking good OP, this unit will rock. Keep it OCD thru the installation and double / triple check so that you are sure of everything. .

 

Absolutely! I probably should've taken more pictures, maybe wrote out all the torque specs I used and where I got em, for the next guy.. my bad

 

I'd put the same spark plugs in that you pulled or replace with the same because that kit likely had different temp plugs than stock.

 

Built my cherry picker, mated the engine and trans and started routing and plugging in the wiring harness. Then got called in to work.. not bad for 3 hours

So much for pre installing the supercharger, should've put the electrical harness back on before the sc.. had to take it all off, just for this 1 plug

 

All the electrical is done, block heater installed, flywheel is bolted to the tq converter and top bellhousing bolts are torque. Thinking im ready to drop it in, leaving the sc off to save on weight and height clearance, not sure if the harbor freight special engine hoist can lift it high enough with the sc installed

 

Bolted the starter in and got called back into work.. 3rd time this week. Hopefully Saturday will be a quiet day at work and ill be able to drop this beast in.. back on the road next week..?

 

I was curious how you were going to get the engine in with the sc attached.
