Picked up maps for east and west Moab region. Two weeks off ... I was pretty clear I felt I had given enough in the last couple of months and they know I am tired of being underused when their less-desired "monsters" are not on my plate. This weekend, next week Moab and Monument Valley. Any suggestions welcome to make my "first venture in" (not my last, though) more productive.

Monday next (8th) Radford Racing School High Performance Driving. I probably will not outlive my money anyway and my brothers do not need it.

And verified my NOCO GB40 works. When buying the maps I saw a guy trying to help a lady with the boost-box, but seemed to be not successful. My GB40 worked, so I know that much at least.

well to start, go up through Kayenta, stop at Gouldings Lodge Chevron for Green and Red fried chili burrito. Then go through Monument Valley and Forrest Gump point. Bonus points for the idiot tourists playing Frogger trying for a picture even though they have designated spots. Mexican Hat is on the way.
Take a left go up Mogi Dugway to climb the mesa, Stop at Muley point for the view. At that point can camp on Snow Flat Road, on the north side have a view of Bears Ears, further down and camp south side get a view of Comb Ridge.
Continue up, check out Natural Bridges, then across to Blanding, going up to Moab. Take a left and check out Newspaper Rock maybe Needles District if you have time, theres easy stuff to check out there. Hit Moab, theres a well a lot in Moab. Sure lots of us could give pointers there. Top of the World is a must IMO. Gemini Bridges and Long Canyon also, which is a good early AM start then lunch back in Moab.
Then ya, you have Valley of the Gods on way back etc.

I am not a fan of chili-dishes or Goober Road thingy (never bothered with the movie) ... but the rest looks like a decent plan. The more dangerous roads maybe not because I prefer living, but for a first time through the area seems logical.

I was looking online about Long Canyon Rd and Top of the World. But I will take your word for it being less-risky-than-the-description. I want to drive many for now stiffening my backbone ... sometimes the mental fatigue of picking my way through harder trails makes me want to stop instead of making errors.

Basic commercial tomato sauce bothers me at my age ... with the over-spicing or just bad-spicing they do for cheapest-path.

Then skip Top of the World, but Gemini Bridges to Long Canyon is the same as going to Chicken Corners.

Found this map describing "easy to moderate" trails ... few route numbers but close enough to what you suggested that is combines well. Airing up and down will likely be my main annoyance. I need to upgrade TrailForks to "pro" I believe for more backup. But being near Labor Day I will see *someone* and have my InReachMini 2.

Thanks for the advice that is near Moab.
