Is that a change for BF compared to other recent bfs?
Haven’t played one in so long.
Tbh didn’t expect them to allow it

    @TACOTU3

So, I just watched the guys' video on the tabletop jackstands as I had only used the website for the plans. I didn't realize he left the bottom open

Anyway, this would just change the order of assembly from welding the flat plate to the bottom of the ACME rod later to instead, welding it before the top plate with the round hole is welded in place.

Just modeled up the top plate.

    Screenshot 2025-08-29 211858.png

Then I got to thinking damn, I made this setup a lot bigger than what the other guy did. But maybe this is a good thing because I can't imagine using those small stands.

A big one though? You could really throw up an axle housing if you want so I figured I could provide the foot for the top of the jack, to be welded to an ACME nut. This way instead of being stuck with only one style/size foot, you can undo it and screw in another on top of the ACME rod.

What do you think? The real kicker here would be to ensure the nut is fully threaded in before putting any weight on top.

I don't remember the last BF to have their own servers, but I sure as hell remember 1942 as you'd have a server browser list the same way you do for Counterstrike.

You didn't rent them from EA either, they were privately run so either you ran your own, or paid a 3rd party to run it and you'd have access to run your own scripts for setting map rotations, match times, and more.

I used to compete back during Counterstrike 1.5 and 1.6 and we had our own public server as well as a private server for scrims.

He had multiple sizes and I for sure wanted something on the larger end like what you’ve worked up. Love the idea of having different options for the cradle too! These are all upgrades IMO

Can’t imagine ever needing to get the rod out of the apparatus but I can cut open the bottom in case if emergency :)

Yeah I can't imagine owning so many little stands - real-estate goes a long way so I'd rather own what I'll use as far as tools go.

I've been in Hawaii for the past week and lifted Tacomas are definitely the style here. Reminds me of driving around in Arizona during the excesses of the mid-2000s before the economy tanked. Everyone was riding on oversized wheels and body lifts to fit them.

They all have that ridiculous drop bracket lift and extreme offset wheels but it’s a vibe and who am I to judge?!

We have several of them around Azusa neighborhoods, occasionally you get the idiot that goes completely the wrong way in one but more often the issue is that no one wants to yield to traffic already in the circle and just flies right in nearly causing a wreck

I see the opposite, folks stopping before entering the circle when there's plenty of space for them to drive right in.

Do any of y'all have "diverging diamond" interchanges? They're a clever design that eliminates turns across traffic, but they're still easy to hate.

This why you need long travel suspension. Soak up the curbs and bushes
