Meh, I'd be more concerned about oil leaks than anything.

It's a stout little thing and the bottom end assembly is pretty "beefy". Forged connecting rods and all other good stuff.

One tip you might want to remember. Before you shut it off, let it idle for about a min. Especially just coming off the freeway. Let the temp come down in the turbo.
I use to tell people to take your seat belt off, grab the stuff you want to take with you, fix your hair if you need to, shut it off, and then get out. Even 15 seconds is better than nothing.

That’s true with most equipment. Bring it down to an idle for a good 5 minutes before shutting it down.

That is like my old van 2007, the last year for that style. The thing was reliable an an anvil. It has the old pushrod 3.3 engine/4 speed and was good for maybe 21 mpg on the highway.

The "new" 2013 has the OHC 3.6/6 speed and can hit a stunning 30 mpg with straight highway running.
I really can't think of anything to replace it except another van.

That'll go great in someone's inner city art deco farm kitchen remodel.

They were literally unstoppable with the short-lived lifetime warranty Chrysler offered. Just had to go to the dealer for all maintenance...

My brother's had a few of those that are on their 3rd or 4th free motor, and the rear sub frame is so rotted out, the service writers are threatening a buyout before they do it a 5th time.

My wife started with one of the “new style” Dodge Grand Caravan (Sport) ones back in the 90s, which then migrated to “Chrysler Town & Country Touring” in the 00s. When it was totaled in a rear end, she had a choice between the last of the Dodge, Chrysler versions or the new ‘17 Pacifica LX. She got the Pacifica (even though it was my turn for a new vehicle - I got the Tacoma the next year). She never wants to trade any of them away… Maintenance trumps replacement.

So, I don't know what mother parked under the other day at a friends house, but the entire car got covered in what I assume pine sap o_O

I really didn't want to break out the power washer and all the stuff again. I am quickly starting to really like doing rinseless washes!

I did the Subie the other day too.

This is what I have been using in case anyone wants to try it. Takes about 6ish gallons total for that way I do it.

Made some brackets for the wheels to lift it so we can get one end up a little and move it. Put the big chickens in it to eat some grass and test it out.

Any of you all have arthritis? Are you taking anything for it or just living with it? I hate taking medicine.

Consider seeing an acupuncture, or massage specialist, or a chiropractor.

Few of them are officially recognized by insurance, but I know of a few different people that swear by one or the other to help with the pain.

I just swear a lot.

It doesn't help the pain or mobility but it passes the time. :notsure:
