OP you got this, fix it all and drive it forever.

If there's any problems in the future you sure the hell will know how to fix it...

Yes, this. Getting intimate with one’s vehicle is always a good thing for when things go bad. The reason I wish to do all my own work.

I fear he is going to have endless opportunities to get to know his truck. Mechanical, electrical, interior, body, the list just goes on.

Something that occured to me is how much debris is stuck in the rocker panels?

I once drove a vehicle into a mud pit during a bad rainstorm - years later I found dried out mud that I did not get out upon the initial cleaning. In my case only harm was to my pride. 1975 Celica I pulled out of the mud with a backhoe and ran it on home. Less electronics in those days.

That cross bar (I’ve always called it a crash bar, dunno if that accurate for Toyotas) is almost never finished in any car, just left raw steel. They all rust a bit eventually, looks fine

Shit in the rockers, and that dash bar are on the very short list of things the OP actually doesn't need to worry about...

Dude has a tough row to hoe with this deal. It's not like it's a job that will one day be done..

Hang in there OP. Most people are more screwed on car purchases these days than you are. Patience and persistence will get you there.

I had a flooded 4Runner. Never ending repair job. Too many electronics and too much wiring.

thanks every body for the good vibes !! updadate finally i made my way to the inmobilizer ecu yes its between the HVAC AND the firewal. working around how to remove it withot dissasembling i decided to give a try to Toycoma2021 idea and what a great idea!!

    upload_2025-9-6_12-55-52.pngupload_2025-9-6_12-56-43.pngupload_2025-9-6_12-57-35.png

o just made a little cut with a cutter in the housing of the HVAC that doesnt affect its normal operation and voila right behind that plastic is the inmobliizer really easy to disconnect i needed to remove the gas pedal because everything is to tight in there. i am expecting that ebay delivers the inmobilizer today and make some tests.

Glad to be of some small help with your endeavor. Now I know to cut up the various harnesses if I ever have a problem with that impossible to reach part.

the picture with your hand in it holding the connector, that sure looks like the beginning's of mold on the insulation.

i really think stripping all the permeable materials out of the truck is in your very near future.

I attached the schematic in post #75 for the type of connector - T10. From what I can see the worst green corrosion is on a part of the connector body that has no pins - very strange, perhaps it dripped down from the ECU. The next worst is on pin #1 which is Battery, so that is to be expected.

Just like some previous pictures of modules it would be interesting to get a look inside this one, but alas it is going to stay right where it is.

Better focused pictures would help of both the ECU pins and the connector end. Unfortunately, it may not be possible to de-pin that connector considering where it is. Also, unfortunate is that the connector appears to be of the type that is the smallest and most difficult to de-pin. 0.64MM

If anybody has a VERY GOOD way to de-pin this series of connectors, please step up. Please no guesses. I have done them, but not in a confined space.

need better pictures of the connector.

i believe that's the type where the locking pin is visible from the exterior. on those, i'll press it in with a small precision flat blade screwdriver.

otherwise, i specifically use this 'wiring dismount' tool set for most other connectors--but i haven't used it for any connectors that small. they're made of a high grade spring steel that allow them to remain stiff and flexible, enough to get most fittings apart.
