I have 2 of them. I know where they are supposed to go but both are never there.

Good morning. The shed is almost all in the bag, I needed two of them. A few more nails to pound flat, place the foundation boards into the bag then schedule a pickup. Took 2 bags.

Son is going to fix a garden wall today. Contractor is coming out to give me a cost to build a foundation and assemble the shed on the foundation. Not being able to do the work is killing me.

    Morning all:

I think that I also have 6 tape measures.

Going into a room and forgetting what I went there for, forgetting what I wanted to say next during a conversation, wanting to look something up on the computer and then forgetting what it was, just having something in my hand and having to look all over for it, they all drive me nuts!

Just got off the phone with my buddy, he's got 2 projects he needs to do. He grabbed a .38 special case by mistake while loading for a .30 carbine and now has a stuck case in the sizing die which needs to be removed. He also removed an allen screw from a B-square mount on his M1A to try to match the threads up with a different length one, after reinstalling the screw and going to the range the gun is now shooting low and into the ground in front a 50yd. target , something definitely shifted after he removed that screw.

Wow, I'm hanging with a bunch of rabble rousers!
Some of us ARE those hippie parents. ;) Speaking for myself anyway, I was a hippie until I had a kid. That changed everything.

Anyway, :pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/TW miscreants. I went to a local car show Saturday, Duryea Day in Boyertown. It was the 59th annual edition and the first one I've been to. :anonymous: I will definitely go back though! There was the widest variety of vehicles I've seen at any car show, period. An Oshkosh highway snowplow. A GMC motorhome, 6-wheeler no less. Lots of Brass Era and 1920's to 1940's stuff, which makes sense because the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is the organizer. Plus the usual assortment of muscle cars and hot rods, mixed in with JDM Hondas, BMWs and Porsches, and a healthy smattering of English cars. I even had a decent chili dog, at a bargain price.

I'm still a hippie. But I'm also a cowboy, and I was back in the day, too. I may have been the first hippie that wore cowboy boots crusted in cow pie... and the first cowboy that had long hair and wore bell bottoms with cowboy boots. I still prefer acid rock and blue grass to cowboy music.

    That's a beautiful Oldsmobile.

So yesterday I went to Home Depot to buy the makings of a small 8X8, covered deck. With the parts and pieces I already had, it came to $728.14. And the wonderful thing... is that Home Depot has stopped giving a Veteran's Discount on lumber, so after spending over 700 dollars my Veteran's Discount was a grand total of $6.76. I didn't ask for Home Depot to give Veterans a discount... but damn, if they are going to offer it they could at least make it worth asking for.

Me too. In the 60’s I too went mostly hippie with long hair etc. I was kind of conflicted in that I liked the peace and love thing but I was also a boxer, boxing pro so some discovered I wasn’t always that peaceful when hassled. I evolved into the cowboy thing and still pretty much am to this day. Here’s a little story where being a cowboy may have saved my ass.
Back in the 80’s a friend and I were driving from Colorado up to Glendo lake in Wyoming for a couple days fishing. Stopped in the tiny town of Glendo for gas. Glendo then consisted of a gas station and a bar. It was July and hot. Told my buddy I was going to get a couple 6 packs at the bar (bars there sold both on sale and off sale booze). Walked in wearing my cowboy boots, jeans, tight white dirty t shirt and cowboy hat. To my surprise there was probably 10 “cowboys” sitting through out the bar. I could hear them all talking when I walked in. The place went silent when I , a stranger walked in. All eyes staring at me. A most uncomfortable feeling. I walked up to the bar thinking i better get an acceptable beer. Knew I better not order some foreign imported beer. Told the bar tender I’d take 2 six packs of Currs (that’s how I pronounced Coors). The room was still silent and all eyes were on me , a stranger in this place. Got the beer , walked out nodding to a few of the guys, and as soon as I exited I heard everyone in there start talking again. Had I had the city look and acted like a dork I think the experience may not have ended peacefully. Didn’t catch that many fish but I did get pretty good at drinking beer.

Well doggie isn't that a hoot. Grew up dirt biking and horses. I'd often spend 7 days a week horseback. Oh let's not forget Girls. Couldn't deal with long hair, got on my nerves. Most of my horseback was reining, then team roping and less often cutting. Rode with some famous old horsemen and rode horses with close ties to , king ,poco bueno, leo, 3 bars and the old rank Grey badger ll get. Still have photo copies of some of they're papers. I tried cowboying for a living but it was tough life with little pay. I rode for 2 small ranches then hung it up. Dad was a self employed machinist so a job was easy and the hours permitted me good times. Memories, aches and pains.
    Where's the rewind button.lol.
