    Nice!

You won't need that other right angle grinder now ;)

I wonder what gen grinder that is. My first one like 7 years ago had issues cutting out randomly. But my new ones don’t do it.

Also HF blades on a Milwaukee grinder is a nice touch lol

you will want to get your hands on some 6ah at minimum using the grinder. It’s power hungry.

He could opt for high output instead - my HO CP 3.0 are smaller, and last longer than my non-HO 5.0.

Or he can just get an HO 8.0. Mine lasts forever when I use it on my angle grinder.

Already sold it, that helped fund this upgrade! Got a nice premium on it cuz they’ve been sold out for like 6 months :D
It’s the gen 2 and from what I can tell it’s a huge upgrade from my hobo freight one and the gen 1 (according to torque test channel). The vibe difference between HF and this is stunning.

Hoping I can find some nice bundles for batteries, maybe Black Friday? The other tools on my immediate list are the insider ratchet, the little band file and a m18 drill (tested that m12 today and it ain’t gonna do what I need…)

I only use 12ah on high demand tools like grinders, sawzalls and rotor hammers. Even then I’ve gone through several 12.0 in a day. But for most home shop use I see 6.0 HO being the bear minimum for high demand tools.

I find in some applications the standard 5 either dies fast or over heats quick. Especially on the rotor hammers you will find the tool just lacks any power.

but I also probably use my tools a lot harder and more frequently then most here and a lot of my batteries have high cycle counts on them now, probably don’t preform like they use to new

Keep an eye on home depot online. I once got the Milwaukee cement saw and 2 12ah and rapid charge on sale for less then the bare tool was. I could of easily sold the tool if I wanted to and basically got 2 12 and a charger for free

Sometimes I’ll ditch battery all together and go corded because I know it’s just gunna cost me production time constantly swapping batteries and waiting for them to charge. But I mean that’s like days I’m sawzallimg 8 hours strait. Tools getting so hot you can’t even hold them anymore.

I will say though on those high demand tools you can notice the difference swapping to forge batteries. Those batteries hall ass

Hf is the only place I use to be able to find 3” cut off wheels for my die grinder. 1/4 shank stuff seams rare is most big box stores. I usually end up getting all my carbide burs on mc Mastercarr

You can still cut on a CNC table with an HF plasma cutter (harbor freight, not high-frequency)

Just need to open the cover to tap into your ON/OFF wires as well as the lugs for voltage

I can do that with a mag drill and annular cutter. Just might take me 3-4 business days lmao

I missed out on your last one… Gonna have to wait for you to upgrade again!

Hopefully I’ll have a bigger workspace by then

Shoot, one guy had a jig with bushings to perfectly align the hole spacing using a mag drill and annular cutter

Guess what? It was out of square at just 1'

But yeah those things are awesome, just take forever
