Sciatic pain sucks. I’m actually sitting in the recliner with the heating pad on my lower back, left hip for just that reason.

Tree guys were here a few minutes after 0800, they gave me a call about 20 till to tell me they were on the way. Three man crew with a lift and mini skid steer to move/stack debris for a separate claw truck to haul it off.

After walking the yard and talking with them I went for a walk, the cutter was just climbing in the bucket as I left. I get back in 35 minutes and the first tree is on the ground, this was a 30-35’ tall oak that’s about 36” across at the base. They haven’t slowed down. Working on the biggest tree now, it somewhat hangs over the front porch roof, they said it’s not a problem but I’m kind of worried, it’s taller and larger in diameter.

A few guys and the right equipment makes short work of it. I’ve had 13 Oaks taken out, stumps and all, I’ve cleaned up 3 that blew over in storms, used to have 28 . Rule #1 , don’t plant a tree within 30’ of a house. I really do like trees

Rugby figured this out all on his own, no coaching from me. His mom wasn't amused.

I’ve kinda started a part time volunteer job, cleaning up campsites at my favorite campgrounds. Heading up this morning, I’m sure the long weekend has left them trashed. .10 deposit on cans in Michigan, helps offset the cost of camping o_O:annoyed:

    Morning y’all …

What a ride home yesterday. SIL took his skid steer out to camp to do some cleaning and what not. His backhoe attachment blew a hydraulic line so that was out of commission, this happened Saturday morning. As we packed up and headed out he left about a good hour + prior to us as we were cleaning the cabin and putting things away we had to make a stop in town for gas. We got about 30 minutes from Comstock on hwy 90 we got a call from him, blew a tire on the trailer,,,crap. We caught up with him and drove to Comstock, luckily we found a young guy who was doing road service work, he was able to get the spare tire mounted onto the rim that blew the tire. We finally got him back on the road after a couple of hours and we followed him back to Del Rio, from there we separated and moved along…or so we thought. :( We were about 20 miles from Uvalde when we got a call again… blew another tire on the same side, this time no spare. :annoyed:. He was able to find a road service with two good 16ply tires with rims:spending:, he unloaded the skid steer and had the tires off and trailer lifted up for them prior them getting there. Needless to say I not sure what time he got home but our normal 4.5-5 hour trip turned into a 9 hour trip home….
