Good morning. Another night with little sleep. Wife will call the vet today. We’ll also try leaving a light on at night tonight. I don’t have her crate at the house anymore as I left it at the Cape for my sister’s dog since we weren’t using it. I would imagine the dog would sneak in a tin cup and harmonica in there if I were to try and crate her. During the day, she’s fine. I guess we all need to go on 3rd shift!

Whelp, the dog isn’t afraid of the dark. My wife had the light on last night to no avail.

    Morning all.

Went back to my Ortho hip specialist yesterday to have them evaluate my left hip, see if I did any serious damage to it when I tripped and fell, landed directly on the left hip on concrete garage floor a couple months ago. I suspected I had, as all the sciatica and other pain I have been having is 90% left leg. Well, apparently my hunch was wrong. Doctor said he sees absolutely nothing wrong in left hip, the "resurfaced" hip procedure I had done on it in 2014 shows no signs of any issues, pelvis is in goos condition, etc.. He suspects the issue may be herniated discs in my spine that are putting pressure of additional nerves, which is why I had L5-S1 fused in 2014.So Hip Doc has referred me to a spinal Ortho surgeon for him to evaluate any spinal issues.

I'm kind of relieved that the left hip looks in good shape, and does not appear to be in need of a full joint replacement, as that is expected to result in several weeks of down time for recovery. If it turns out I need more spinal fusion, the last time I was only down for 2 days, which is much more appealing.

Have a great rest of the week, all.

Does she lay down during the day?
Still better than being at work
Don't know what to say, happy the hip is ok, but not happy about the spine.

Are you trying to catch up to Chuck?

No, I have no desire to catch up to, or match anyone else in terms of physical health issues. Definitely don't want to have any knee issues. And thankfully, all my issues so far in life, have been confined to 'quality of life', and not 'life threatening'.Even when my spinal tumor pinched my cord, and left me paralyzed for a week back in 2007, was only a 'quality of life' issue, since the tumor turned out to be non-cancerous.
