NO VIBES. I have E load and they ride really nice for a big tire

 

Been a few days with them so far they are definitely heavy i have noticed it on my morning commute took a bit of a fuel hit aswell. On the plus side i dont speed anymore. I am also tuned on OTT

Are those C or E load Toyos?

Any rubbing? What lift do you have?

I have 6112 with 2 inch lift and wondering if I'm going to be rubbing at full flex.

 

First long trip out on the 275 ko3s. I gotta say I’m impressed. Travelled some pretty rough roads and these tires are smooth running even at full pressure. They are a lot less jarring than the k02s I had in the same size. I don’t know if BFG engineered more comfort into these tires, but my impression is they are more complaint, even in the 10 ply. Traction was good for what I needed them to do, and no cuts or chips after some blast rock ascents and washed out sections of road. No regrets so far.

 

Stock UCA's?

 

Stock UCS's. Trying to find alignement specs but i cant find the paper. Alignment is nothing special. I put these wheels and tires on whatever factory spec alignement i had for the stock wheels and tires.

 

I have a question for you guys running 275/70/17's. I have Bilstein 6112's in the front at 10/8 with stock UC's. Im 2" higher in the rear than stock. I am currently running STMaxx's pizza cutters 235/85/16's. I found a great deal on marketplace for a set of RC 17x9 -12 offset with Falken Rubitreks 285/70/17's. I bought them and put them on and while they looked really, really good, they rubbed a little at the cab mount and just barely on the front flare at full turn. I sold them this afternoon for more than I paid for them as I don't want to do any serious cutting on the truck just yet. With my current set up can I run 17x8 -12 with 275/70/17's? I messed with the tire size calculator but I am still not sure.

 

stock coils on your 5100’s?

 

I like the Pokey on that wheel/tire set-up.

My Sport has Bushwacker Fendys AND I have the TRD 2" Lift Bilstein shocks with OEM springs and 1" block in the rear.

Maybe I'll go ZERO offset since you are getting rubbing in the front.

 

I got some Nitto TerraGrappler G3s mounted up in 275/70r17. They fit well with no rub. Happy so far with them.

I figured some side by side pictures with my spare which is a 265/75r16 Wildpeak AT3 would be helpful to see for some people (the Nitto is the fresh rubber and the Wildpeak is the dirty one but never used so both are full tread depth). The 275 is certainly bigger but since the 265 wildpeaks run a little bigger for that size the difference isn't huge. The Nitto's do look more aggressive and fill out the wheel wells better on the truck but I feel like a lot of that is due to the wheel moving outward (I went from stock TRD OR wheels to 0 offset wheels).

 

Has anyone switched from a c rated KO2s to the new e rated kO3 in 275/70/17? I’ll be buying new tires soon and pretty set on 275s. Love my KO2s, but concerned how much compliance I’ll be giving up going with e rated vs the Falken Wildpeaks which are c rated. I do not do a ton of rocky off roading or heavy towing, so I’m worried an e rated might be overkill and sacrifice some on road manners. Thanks for any help.

 

Just installed BFG Trail Terrains 265/70r17 on my stock Tacoma. Had Nitto Ridge Grapplers on for a little over 50k miles. These BFGs are so quiet and smooth on the road. Will update periodically when I get them wet, dirty, or snowy.

 

I have 265 70 16 Michelin LTX MS in my 2023 but wheel well looks like it would handle 275 75 16 with ease
My current tires are new so it will be a while before I replace them

I ran C rated KO2 on my previous 2nd gen tacoma and have the new KO3 on my current 3rd gen. The KO3 are better in every way, and the difference between C and E isn't too noticeable. If anything, I prefer the firmness of the E rated. I think 275/75-17 is a perfect match for a 1.5 to 2 inch lift. For reference, I'm running Bilstein 5100 with stock coils on 4th perch and HS 3-leaf AAL in the rear. No issues to speak of.

I like the 275s...I think they would suffice in width.

Now, I wanna dabble with "off-sets" to move away from the UCA but not rub.

I got Bushwacker Fendies so no worries about the mud flaps.
