, that would get more than a few glances if you could get the dog to carry it around while out for a walk!

LOL, uninvited are rare, there is signs on the gate deterring such. Any city slickers would likely put it in reverse and make tracks. One sign says I can make it to the gate in 3 seconds, can you , with a very like her picture.

Well we just got a wake up call. Our water bill was higher than normal and some of you may know we had a leak at the service connection at the street a couple of years ago. We get 10K gallons a month as a base, and we used 11K last month, June 15 to July 15. Normally we use 6/8K. So we had the city guy come out and he says we've already used 11K since the 15th of July. 18 days.
The last break was right at the meter, and the meter is very close to the road. I've always wondered if a big truck could drive over the meter and flex the pipe enough to break it. But the city says any breaks past their meter are our problem.
Last time we did insurance to pay for the problem and afterward found out that because of the claim we couldn't find other insurance when we thought ours was too high.
I'm pretty sure the leak is not in the house. No toilets running, no faucets dripping, no water in the basement where the heater is.
So here I am wondering what to do if the break is back at the water meter.

Didn't have one when I got it, as a matter of fact, it didn't have a cap or nozzle. the one on it is from another aerosol that fit and worked :D

Not a good problem. Hope you can find the issue. how deep is the water line? Is the ground getting wet and soggy up to the house? Good luck with getting it resolved.

I do not buy much lumber these days. Almost had to buy a landscape timber this past weekend but I had a spare one.
I will put some lumber in the cart on line and see if I get a discount.

    Welcome to the thread.

Shouldn't be hard to find if it's more than a weeping leak. String line from meter to house tie. Small diameter steel rod, walk and stick the rod, or possibly a moisture meter . You sure meta isn't swiping it for a dc.

    Morning all:

Welcome to the thread @Dalton19, like all newbies it's your turn to fill up the cooler and then pull up a chair on the porch.

All my wisdom teeth are impacted, and when the dentist stole my teeth I told him don't even think about taking them out, I've never had a problem with them and I'm keeping them until I do, good luck on getting the wisdom tooth pulled.

Been sprucing up my screened patio with new paint and need to install new screening. I used to like to paint, key words being USED TO, I can't believe how long it took to paint the framing for it and the work involved sanding etc. Put a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams exterior emerald paint on it, hopefully it's the last time that I need to do it.
I still have some screening left from the last time I replaced it, but I don't think there's enough to do the whole patio, hopefully I don't get sticker shock when I go to buy a new roll of screening, last time it was around $85.00 a roll.
