Anyone else following the Edison motors fiasco on YouTube?

They're trying to build electric semi trucks, but the Canadian government is telling them they can't put the generator on the truck. They need a crane to physically put the generator on the ground, and then they can legally charge the truck.

 

My washing machine has decided it doesn't want to wash clothes anymore...

All signs point to a failed start capacitor. But I had to entirely disassemble it at 11:00 at night to determine that.

Went out around 4am, got in the car and boom, dead battery...

Thank goodness for those little jump packs. Guess I gotta get a new battery this weekend

Good morning guys. Have a great day, hopefully one that doesn’t require the use of screw extractors.

 

Some of you may remember I cut down some trees on our property last year to get a better view of the mountains from the deck. The ones blocking it are a small patch on the neighbors land.

I heard him leaving his brothers yesterday and I stopped him in the driveway and ask if I could talk to him, I said follow me. Took him to our deck and explained to him we'd have a great view if he'd let me take this patch of trees down that are on his land.

I said here's what I will do, I will trade you tree for tree, whatever I cut off of you, you can cut off of us when you get ready to log your place. I'll give you mature trees.

He said you can cut down all the sycamore trees and leave the poplar and walnut trees.

I said ok, that's about half of them.......that's a start.

After he left I went and worked on his wife's lawn mower and didn't charge her anything, a man told me if you're gonna kiss someone's butt, be sure and kiss the right one

This picture is from last year when we cut, the only poplars on him I want to cut are on the left and the right in the small patch. Everything in the middle should be able to be taken down.

 

Got tired of people taking the hinges so I welded them

I spent the long weekend down in South Florida with some of my wife's family and it was a nice refresher. I had forgotten there was that much of Florida undeveloped. Beautiful area near Lake Okeechobee down passed Holopaw and Yeehaw Junction, true redneck area. Lots of cattle farms and few citrus farms left...
