Remember when

When I went to college, a lab room, down the hall, had a laser disc simulator. You was presented with a scenerio and given a choice. Your choice determined the next section and then another question.
The lag was bad but it was pretty cool for the time.

 

I've been noticing the cassettes making a comeback. Usually only a dozen albums to choose from at larger stores.

If by super CDs, you mean Super Audio CD (SACD), they were never really popular outside of the audiophile community. Technically, a regular CD should be enough audio quality for everyone if it wasn't for the loudness wars (mostly CDs released mid-90s to now). SACD (and less popular HDCD) were to solve a problem that shouldn't have existed in the first place.

 

Yeah Super Audio CDs. Not really in need of them. I might purchase a favorite album or something just to see what it's like.

But yeah regular CDs are definitely good enough. If you really wanna get nostalgic you get out the vinyl. I've been picking up some nice pieces.

This RAD red vinyl was a good pick up recently.

 

Definitely space age tech for the time lol I like finding them on ebay once in a while.

Yes sir.

 

Technically the movie was just Rad, the little racing company that Cru Jones made was called Rad Racing. I bet I watched that movie 50 times growing up. Olympic gymnast Bart Connor was the Team Mongoose rider. Talia Shire (Rocky) and Ray Walston (My Favorite Martian, Fast Times...) were the only big name actors in it, except for a very young and hot Lori Loughlin in one of her first movies.

 

We had the Smash Up Derby cars.

 

If the kids saw pictures of us from back then like this one they would probably Pass Out LOL.

Remember when the Internet was fast?

Seems web developers have gotten too lazy to optimize webpages, and now every website has to verify I'm human.

 

Remember when you'd put your hand over the hole at the bottom and make the water go blasting out?

 

I remember playing smash up derby at lunch time in the cafeteria with our metal lunch boxes. We would stand several feet apart facing each other and slide our lunch boxes towards each other hoping they would smash together. My mom would be pissed that I broke yet another thermos in my lunch box. LOL

 

I was just reminded of candy cigarettes and bubble gum cigars.

 

Anyone remember the little wax bottles filled with some sort of flavored punch? My local store had then and they weren't even wrapped up. They also had wax lips that were cherry flavored if I remember correctly.

 

I was thinking about these the other day. The ones I used to find were shaped like test tubes.

 

I hated those things. Tasted nothing like candy, everything like wax.

I heard they no longer include a stick of gum with baseball cards. It was like a mini sheet of drywall, but I loved it.
