The roof was the biggest difference for me, mostly when it rains. No more tin can sound. Would love to do the floor at some point

This make sense maybe in a few years I’ll do the same… I have tan carpet on my 2011… and surprisingly I’ve kept it clean… I try really hard to not stain it.. and I’ll vacuum and do wet vacuum when it’s really dirty.. but even with that I will deteriorate from the cleaning

Finally back in a Tacoma!!! I had a first gen about 5 years ago that I adored but ultimately let go for a Maverick hybrid since my commute was long and the Taco was terrible on gas:

Now I’m fortunate to be back but with a 2nd gen!

    IMG_4512.jpg

I just did the rear diff, front diff, t case, and spark plugs. Will be doing trans fluid shortly but I noticed I have a coolant leak so I’ll be chasing that down first. Happy to be back!

Easier and quicker than the doors. Infinitely easier than the floor. Do the roof. It's worth it.

That’s easy also. The only thing you need to look out for is don’t bend the headliner. It will crease.

I ordered some new ditch light brackets to replace my Amazon ones. the amazon ones sit pretty far back, the back of my ditch lights smacks the truck and has rubbed off the paint.

Worked on my bed bar to yakima rack adapter.

Used some OEM FJ crossbars that I got for free when I bought my girlfriends Yakima Megawarrior. So I cut them into 12" sections, drilled out some 3/8ths holes and slapped some paint on them. My dad's going to mill me out some 1" spacers to allow the clamp to work as it should.

Not perfect, some mismeasurements but whatever, I needed a project.

was going to check my blower switch / fan because it would only work on the highest speed , but then it fixed itself somehow and now all the speeds work.

the cabin air filter was pretty dirty & I replaced it but for a week after that it still only worked on hi. hmmm
